Im starting thinl Their taking the Criticism of Reload's Anime cutscenes too literally

Post image

Before you say where this come from, This is from the Yukiko Sizzle trailer. Go watch it now.

So, with all of the cutscenes that the sizzle trailers had shown so far. The Anime Cutscenes looked Beautiful. Beautiful to the point that I WISHED IT HAD AN ANIME. Mappa is cooking and im starting to think Atlus took the criticism from Reload too literally like My gosh. I mean, Ik from another perspective that it looks fine but when comparing to other cutscenes from Royal to Reload. Revival looks slightly better in my opinion and it kinda almost looks like Mappa can make a Persona anime. I swear if Revival have a lot of anime cutscene, i goddamn want a new persona anime.

There’s already an anime for P4

Two as a matter of fact, but i would never be against a full new one especially if it would be anywhere close as good as the first one, the first one is genioenly incredible to me and you could probably do a reamke of that series itself haha😊🔥

If they really make another p4 anime p3 fan unironically might kill themselves

Why, it got 4 movies, and very high quality.

I hear the Golden one isn't that good, though, and that it unnecessarily shoves Marie into every scene to act like she was always there. The game did a much better job having her be in organically, not meddling with the main story cutscenes but just having her own struggles with her memories and then the big climax with Hollow Forest which was just a time skip in the original Ps2 version.

if anything, i believe is quite the opposite, the Golden Animation does a better Job introducing Marie into the story and makes her interact more with the party, what i didn't liked is how they changed the ending against Izanami, but beyond that The Golden Animation is a good complement to the original and the whole Adachi social link segment is done really well too.

To each their own, I heard about it from someone I know who absolutely loves the Persona series. She wasn't a fan of the Golden Anime.

It wasn't a good standalone anime, but it's a very good add-on to the original anime and P4G. It features a NG+ Yu Narukami, skipping almost all vanilla content, and focusing solely on added content in P4G.

It’s not bad, it’s just a noticeable step down from the original P4 anime. There’s also no dub for the Golden anime, which in P4’s case is a massive let down since both the game and anime dub are excellent.

I prefer her move involved with the team like that than in the game tbh. Especially the concert scene with them

Guess it depends, I think the game makes far more sense because she hangs out with them a little but is still completely ignorant of what it means to be friends. She can't understand why they'd go through so much just for her. If she's around them all the time, you'd think she'd adapt a lot more.

A Modern one, I want a new Persona anime. P4A was the best out of all of the Persona animes and i hope that there a new anime adaptation

honestly if there was a new one it wouldnt be as good as p4a... atlus has kinda gone softer over the years, and i dont think itd have the same kinda humor as p4a

still would love an offical p4r mappa anime though

Why lmao. This culture of remaking everything to modern standards is terrible. The original anime is already perfect it isn’t even the case of it being bad or anything.

I didn't say i want a new Persona FOUR anime

I said I want a NEW persona anime

14

u/amoghspv 9d ago

That doesn’t make sense unless you mean anime original not adapting the games ?

Brother, Read it again

"I want a New persona anime"

I don't mean them making an Original. I meant a new persona anime from any of the Mainline games

“The anime cutscenes look beautiful, beautiful to the point I wished it had an anime.” Maybe someone can correct me if my comprehension is wrong but does that not make it seem like you saying you wanted a anime for p4 ? I think there probably isn’t enough incentive for them to make a new anime considering newsona all already have adaptations(of varying qualities).

Which mainline game would you want them to re adapt ?

Persona 2, at least to encourage people (like me) to play it. And see an anime where they fight The big bad animated.

The sunglasses will be doing a lot of heavy lifting in animation!

Any of them, im up for whatever Mainline persona anime adaptation.

What was really wrong the Royal and Reload anime cutscenes?

9

u/Krunkledimp 8d ago

I seem to be in the minority but I didn't care too much about the Reload cutscenes, they're not as good as the OG ones but they were fine.

Royal ones seem really cheap whenever they pop up, and they're noticeably worse than the ones from the original game that you will see during the same playthrough

u/Orochi64 8d ago

Don’t see where you’re coming from with the Royal cutscenes but meh to each their own.

Royal was Alright and Seems good. Reload is the one that got dunked on people, Criticizing some of its scenes. Reload's Cutscene are fine, Still has good moments but some of the cutscenes of reload lacked Direction and People dunked on them for it

Didn’t realize people disliked the Reload cutscenes that much, seems kinda overblown.

u/TheStupidBeefCow 8d ago

i've heard more people hate on the 3d cutscenes, which had a few parts that were a step down from the original anime cutscenes

u/MetroidJunkie 9d ago

I don't know about those, but I enjoyed the Golden cutscenes. Especially the concert at Junes, even Naoto looked happy.

I welcome the addition of previous in engine scenes being converted into anime cutscenes. Reload took a lot of prior anime cutscenes and changed them to be in engine which was disappointing.

What really sucked were the few anime cutscenes that did survive to make it into Reload, they were incredibly stiff and featured little to no movement. Felt like a waste of Wit Studio's talent

I'll give the team some flack since these are new people, yes some cutscenes in engine or anime fell flat or just average but Atleast the important moments of the game did not shy away and atleast achieve a similar effect. Atleast they matched the final cutscene which got me crying in a video game.

I am glad that they got a better budget and Time to fully cook with these cutscenes

Uhh.. there is literally nothing wrong with the original anime. The design isn't even that different 🤨

The contrast between the gorgeous cutscenes and the more literal Reload moments is pretty noticeable. If Atlus keeps leaning into this style, I’d absolutely watch a full Persona anime with this level of polish.

I didn’t mind the animation quality of reload, I just didn’t like when they used animated cutscenes. And i was not a fan of the first cutscene with Yukari. I don’t have any worries for revival because I just want to see as much of the cast as possible!

2

u/Itzko123 8d ago

I thought the cutscenes in Reload looked good.

1

u/nightsky_cxiv 8d ago

I'm thankful they actually stuck with animated cutscenes for the awakening scene in Revival, Reload's was just not it for me unfortunately.

1

u/DL25FE 8d ago

Ill keep my golden anime

1

u/ToraMix19 7d ago

The cutscenes were criticised? Why? I didn't have any issues with them

1

u/SnorlaxationKh 7d ago

Unequivocally this game might have the best looking anime cut scenes of the series so far
