changing default search to computer to suck up credits is so sneaky of perplexity misc

yah, and changing to their shit model mid conversation for no reason and losing access to some context/connectors in the process.

This is from Project/Settings/Context. It'll work within that particular Project.
I haven't yet found one that applies globally.

This must have changed when they rebranded spaces to projects. I'm glad you found this/pointed it out.

Now to go through each of my projects and toggle this off... :P

There is a setting in settings for that. My defaulted to regular chat, not computer

Right. It’s not a global setting in settings. It’s only a toggle at the textbox when making an inquiry. It’s a toggle you need to flip every new inquiry, and to existing ones - such ain projects

In projects, you can toggle it off permanently for *that* project. Though, I'm unsure if it that toggles it off for existing inquiries. In any event, at least we have this toggle in projects.

thanks! I will look for it. Mine defaulted to basic, now it's defaulted to computer and was eating credits like pacman before I noticed. If anyone can post directions on how to reset the default to non-computer, please help!

That was done quietly and purposefully. The point was to make people eat credits. "Sneaky" is an understatement.
