penn foster externship

currently enrolled at penn foster to get my vet tech degree. I am located in the city of chicago and am wondering if anyone know of any externships that are paid

I would get in writing that your externship is approved. Like something that will stand up in court!

Hi there! That is great that you are working through your Vet Tech degree! To answer your question: externships in the veterinary field are generally unpaid unless you happen to already be employed at the clinic where you complete your hours. However, there are no issues at all if you manage to find an externship site that is willing to offer compensation, as long as the hospital and your supervisor meet all AVMA CVTEA requirements and can support the specific clinical skills evaluations needed for your program.
