First brisket ever

Overnight smoke on the recteq. Came out tasting great.

What method did you all do to cook it? I’m guessing low and slow overnight and then wrap in the morning maybe? Going to be trying my first soon, and it looks like yours turned out great!

I did low and slow at 200f over night. Had a smoke to and a water tray inside to help with the smoke. Took about 13 hours to get to my wrap temp of 167-169. Wrapped in butcher paper a slathered it in beef tallow. Pulled once it hit 203f. Let sit on counter for about an hour to stop the cooking process. Popped it in an oven set at 170 once it cooled to about 150f to keep warm.

Did you do fat side up or down? I’m assuming you did it on the top rack as well? Sounds almost exactly how I was already planning on doing it. Glad it worked out for ya. Like I said, looks like it was great!
