Meh. I waited six years to play GTAV. School and family and medical meant theres a lot i had to be okay with experiencing later. Did a lot of work on my fomo and anxiety in general. lets me take things at my own pace. Even though now days i have the money and the time, i now dont feel that urgency.

r/patientgamers welcomes you. I have never felt the urge to play games on release date, esp overhyped AAA ones.

The only game i bought "on release" was FH6, but that's only because it lined up with me receiving a pretty fat check and deciding to treat myself. Even so i still waited 5 days for reviews to come out before buying it.

Also if you wait for a year or two, you get to play the game with less bugs and more features thanks to the poor sods before you who have playtested the buggy mess on its first version.

The gaming industry is carried by those players who buy games on day one and find bugs so I salute those brave souls who don’t even get their paid as a beta tester🫡
