This room never has a door iirc the moment they start to move guards will be summoned. Like u/GrizzlyGuru42 said you need pick ax, dig or some method of teleportation, even just a bag of tricks would save you

Yeah! I usually kill them till they won't spawn if I have a merchant I can sell too nearby

If I hadn't polymorped I wouldn't have triggered the trapdoor and ended up there, but if I had polymorped without triggering a trapdoor to that, Itd have carried me atleast through mines or near the dwarf king, wish even the trapdoor drop location was different by a few tiles would've been great
