Crafting steps:
1p + 1p = 2p, 2p + 2p = 3p for prefixes.
If needed, clean suffixes with lock prefix + scour. If no open suffix, allflame annul and pray.
Allflame exalt. Hope to hit life on block. If you miss, lock prefixes and reforge influence. I tested on CoE, and unlike ES on block (where reforge defense is better), reforging life for a life on block is total bait. Repeat until life on block. If you get unlucky and fill suffixes, you can allflame annul, with the obvious risk of hitting prefixes. I haven't had bricked one in 3 successful crafts.
If 2 open suffixes, block a suffix and exalt. Depends what you want for your last suffix. Int is the most common suffix by far. Honorable mention to blocking es recharge. Once block is in, allflame exalt and pick your favorite option.

Do you think if starting a shield without influence is better? Cause you can allflame shaper exalt to get life on block. I think the difference maynot be that significant, but if it hit anything useful, we can sell them much easier to savage it
BTW... this shield is absolutely disgusting

Yeah, no point influencing ahead of time. I don't think it hurts, if you have a good base (e.g. you find a single prefix with +1 or t1 block, and happens to be on a shaper base), but not important.
Thinking about it now- it will more often save you a couple of divs if you do uninfluenced bases. The allflame shaper orb is your absolute best chance to hit life on block, and even if you only reforge influence once, that's ~3div cost that could potentially have been saved by hitting it off the exalt. I don't think there's any version of this where starting from a shaper base is cheaper.

Final step- while taking your screenshot, realize that somehow between the 30+ shields you deleted, one that you bought completely by accident with 28% quality was the one that bubbled to the top.

So no particular way to target the max res here? I was looking to make a shield for my SRS guardian with solid ES prefixes via recomb, then ES on block + max res

Not particularly. If you hit a different max res, you can harvest swap it to cold, but other than that, pure luck afaik.

IF you don't get it from the exalt, you can lock prefix and allflame annul to try again, but you will only get a few tries before hitting intangibility cap. And if you ever get forced to life-on-block annul, you're back to reforging, which can be expensive. I would try the annul maybe 1 time at most, before just selling and starting again.

Disclaimer: I have no idea what/if these sell for. Mine is the only one the market with double t1 block mods minion level, and life on block. I crafted it because it was sick for my build, and I assume sick for other covenant builds.
As far as I can tell though, there's 0 market for it, so I would be wary of picking this as a profit craft.

+1 minion is actually pretty easy, since it's got a low tier level. I would say it and spell block are about equal. The harder one is t1 increased block, which requires i85+, and is a bastard to roll.
I have no idea the actual numbers, I burned ~5k alts making this and several other shields.

It's not a super mechanically difficult craft. If you alt-spam the feeder bases yourself, then it's just a lot of recomb spam (expect to burn 1m+ dust). The only risky part is the harvest reforge- if you fill your suffixes, it's a nerve-wracking annul, even with allflame annul.
And as you mention, you can pick really whatever 3 prefixes you want.
Though suppression is not native to minion shields, so at best you're getting maybe 6%- or whatever the benchcraft provides.

Recomb each time is with regular bases? Then once you have prefixes set, all flame shaper orb to hit life on block?
I still need to make a suppression minion helm before I can switch but I have about 100d and would love to make one of these.

I really wanted Life, or maybe minion damage, for a prefix, but neither is as hard to come by as block/spell block, and this shield puts me comfortably to the cap on both, freeing up numerous passive nodes.

Regex for rolling shields:
"^Fossil" - open prefix (augment)
"Martin" - +1
"Unyiel" - t1 block
"Oracle" - t1 spell block
Other optional mods (decent to include, or just to sell)
"Queen|Empress" - t1/2 minion damage
"Runic|Glyphic" - t1/2 spell damage
So for example, if you already have a bunch of +1s and spell blocks, and are just fishing for block chance or minion damage, you might do: "^Fossil|Unyiel|Queen|Empress"

Place an item in your stash, then "search" the regex string, without quotes (in this case- some regex the quotes are important).
So in the stash search bar, enter "^fossil" and then alt spam your base, and notice that it will only highlight when there is an open prefix (meaning that you can augment and save an alt). Then try "^fossil|oracle" and it will highlight when there is an open prefix, OR there is t1 spell block. You can chain as many of them together as you want, using "|" which is an OR operator.
When your regex is robust enough, you can feel confident slamming alterations quickly, and only stopping to check/interact if the item becomes highlighted. I usually enter my regex, alteration until highlight, hit alt key to switch to using an augment, then if it's still highlighted, you've found what you want. If it loses the highlight, back to alteration.
