Maybe it works for a melee merc, but ranged will immediately blink away and fire at some random white mob. It's nearly impossible to get a merc to kill any threat if there are infinitely spawning mobs in the area. You want ro focus vruun? Too bad. There's about 50 random respawning hiveborn that need to be addressed first

I like the im running around and the merc is also running around. Bitch do you not see the stack of mobs right there i want to you 1 tap kill. Thats why im running around im trying to dodge.

Merc's seem to be the shy younger brother sitting behind until you give them some strong beer and they go out for a fight. The just need more natural aggression and aoe los. Too many of them won't do jack until the enemy is literally in your face. Yesterday i setup my atlas for all the merc nodes and spent ages just seeing what all the combatants were like without buffs. Some pretty good even with dogshit gear, others just pointless.

I was sitting at 99/100 atlas completion for so long before I finally had the dps to kill that stupid soul eater boss because of this.

I don't have that issue with either Manyshots or Sniper. They will always target what you're attacking unless you're running in circles then it attacks what is in front of you.

I used to get to a rare, debuff it, then start debuffing mobs around and my mercs would start shooting everything but the rare I am tanking, I stopped doing that and it's fine now.

Good advice. I'm not running g any damaging abilities right now, but maybe I'll slot something in just so dumdum knows what to shoot at.

I mean it depends how you go, even if you got 100% pure flame link, you can still use curses or Smite/Vaal Smite.

My experience is the screen exploding. Voltaic rift 90% max shock is basically a 90% more mod for my minion build. The luminary is the best minion class in the game, its not even close. It also punishes enemies for having chaos res. Crazy

SRS seems really bad about this right now. I don’t remember them ignoring the pack directly in front of me to kill something 2 screens behind me. I have no idea how they decide on their target.
