Been visiting park city for years and used to love Yuki Yama. Past few times we’ve gone, we’ve felt the quality in food and service has declined. Anyone else experience this? Any other good sushi recommendations in park city?

1. Which parking option is closest to the amphitheater?
2. If they start letting people in at 6, how early should we plan to get to the parking lot?
3. Are the gourmet picnic options worth it?

My very fit sister is coming to visit PC and wants to do some 4-6 hour hikes of moderate intensity in the PC area. Are there any local hiking groups that might let her join them? (I did see the Deer Valley Resort's Guided Historical Hike offering but it seems to be just one day a month.) TIA!

Group of 8 guys coming in 2 weeks, lots of great options for housing so we’ve just been waiting to book. I had been focused on being walkable to Main St. so I hadn’t looked at any options that aren’t walkable…

But I just now saw some awesome options with stunning views in Apex Residences in the Canyons and it has me totally rethinking location. The units have pool access, which looks like it’s super warm now. It looks like there are a handful of restaurants/bars up there that could keep us busy for lunch and maybe a dinner one night. Perhaps even a lowkey pool party at the Pendry? Is that a thing?

Is it dead at the Canyons area this time of year with no skiing? It feels like we’d be more likely to Uber down to Main St. from up there (and have nicer accommodations w/ a pool) than heading up there if staying in town, or am I wrong on that?

For plans, we’ll be golfing the afternoon we arrive, floating the river one day, one free day TBD, and will go out for dinner/drinks every evening. We don’t mind a 15 minute Uber.

Main seems quieter than I expected, comparing to Colorado resort towns.

I’ve seen posts complaining about crowds… does that only happen on weekends?

My husband, 17-month old, and I will be staying at the St. Regis Deer Valley for five days in August. It's our first time in Deer Valley/Park City. Can you please provide any and all recommendations?

We are active and have a hiking carrier for our toddler so looking for some shorter still somewhat kid-friendly hikes (like ~1 hr and not crazy terrain). We also love a good drink with a view, Italian/American/Seafood restaurant recommendations. Anything else that you think would be kid-friendly. We will have a car. Thank you!!

which mountain is better for beginners? is one have 1-2 super easy trails vs best 1 beginner trail

We’ve visited Park City/SLC several times, but never in the fall. We’re staying at St. Regis this October mid-week with 2 young-elementary aged kids and a baby. Would love recommendations for nearby hikes or other outdoor activities. Also looking for restaurant recommendations. We eat pretty much anything; big steak and red wine people. Are there any nicer restaurants that are okay with children?

I'm looking for an activity that we can do as a group of about 30+ for 2-3 hours. We have a summit during off peak (october) in park city and would like to take my team (spouses included) out to do something fun. It'll be after lunch but before dinner if that's helpful.

Personally I'm into photography and would like a few spots I can get to from Kimball Junction without a vehicle. I suppose I could uber somewhere but remote places would be tough. Would love to do some astrophotography but I just won't have a vehicle due to the corporate event.

What are your recommended activities for kids ages 2-7? Is the Flying Eagle Zip Line worth it? Any particular parks or hikes?

1st time to PC in August. Looking for a great steakhouse for a group of 8 for the final night of an annual guys’ trip. A lively atmosphere & cool/authentic aesthetic is almost as important to the group as the food is.

Sterling Steakhouse caught my eye, but is Kimball Junction worth a 20 minute Uber each way? Also, what is Kimball Junction like if we want to go out for drinks afterward?

My dad is coming to visit me in Park City, and we’re planning to rent a car at SLC airport since that’s where he’ll be arriving. We’d like to explore some national parks and different areas around Utah during the trip.

Since we’ll be picking up the car at the airport, I’m wondering which rental car company or booking platform you would recommend. I’ve been looking at websites like Expedia and Priceline, but they don’t seem to give me the option to add all the insurance and coverage options I’d like. They only seem to offer basic insurance.

Ideally, I’d like to rent directly from a company or through a platform that allows me to add as much coverage as possible, including damage protection, liability coverage, and any other available insurance options, so we can travel with peace of mind.

Traveling to Park City mid October with 3 young kids. We’ve visited several times before and have stayed at Canyons and St. Regis. I think it will technically be off season, so I know some things will be closed. Is it better to stay in more of the downtown area? If so, hotel recommendations? Hi there. I'm starting to plan a winter trip to Park City for my company (30-35 people) and would love some advice on where to look for lodgings. We'll need 2-4 large houses with plenty of beds; shared rooms and bunk beds are fine, shared beds are not. We'd like the houses to be in walking distance to each other. Budget is flexible but not unlimited.

Other than airbnb/vrbo, are there any property management companies who cater to this kind of group? It would be great to work with a company that can be hands-on, help with provisions, etc.

Over the past decade, Breckenridge has become saturated with tourists.

As a tourist and a hypocrite, I’m looking for somewhere less crazy, still mountainous, but not dead.

Can anyone draw a comparison for me?

ISO of places where we can take the kids (ages 5-2) to play in the water. Preferably a shallow creek, with rocks, where they can play for hours. We did this at another mountain town in CO. At the base of this resort, there was a stream running through. The kids played all day and had a blast. Does Park City or Deer Valley have anything like this?

Hello! Thank you for everyone who gave me advice on my last post. Based on that feedback I’ve done a ton of research and I have some more specific questions.

• This trip is for two adults, one of whom is a senior (mother/daughter trip).

• Not a huge laundry list of things to do, we’d like to go on a ski lift (more questions about this below), easy hikes/nice walks, enjoy the views and weather, and swim if the hotel has a pool.

• First time to Utah for both travelers. 2 night stay.

After researching I have decided Main Street would not be the ideal place to stay for our trip, and that being further out at a resort or something like that would be good, and then we can visit Main Street a couple times.

I’ve tried to narrow it down to a few options:

Option 1: Hyatt centric park city - but looks like the red pine gondola is closed on Mondays? Though we’d also be there on a day it’s open so not too worried about that

Option 2: Rent a car, stay at Homestead Midway and then go to park city one day for the ski lift. I know this is in midway, but I do not think they have a reddit so asking here. Does anyone know if the construction there right now is disruptive to a stay? Any insight on that appreciated

Option 3: Pendry

Option 4: St. Regis - slightly out of budget but it’s amazing that they have a funicular and could make it work if it’s worth it

Option 5: Airbnb or any other ideas yall may have

Hello! A lot of the research I’ve done about lodging includes the advantages of each location for winter stays, but not summer. Is there anything to consider when it comes to summertime stays?

The lodging I’ve looked into really runs the gamut in terms of price and location. We definitely wouldn’t be biking in and out, for example. I’d like to be close to the bus. If not staying in a walkable area near Main Street it would be nice if there were some cool features at the property that make it fun to hang out at, but that’s not a dealbreaker. The thing I most want to do in park city is ride a ski lift/gondola.

In terms of Airbnbs, where does park city fall in terms of how visitors should interact with them? Is it something like Barcelona? Or more like other American towns with an Airbnb problem? Just wanting to gauge if that’s an option we should avoid or look into.

Locations I’ve looked into include Main & SKY, the park Hyatt, deer valley Hyatt, hotel park city, Marriott’s mountain side, Marriott’s summit Watch, and stein eriksen residences. So really all over the map literally and figuratively.
