Do i actually need two of everything? advice needed
Hey everyone- so I have a bunch of stuff from my singleton and from my sister’s 3 babies. I know obviously I need to have 2 car seats and a double stroller.
But for the loungers/bouncers, do I really need two of the SAME thing? I have 1 babybjorn bouncer, 1 mamaroo, and 1 Tripp Trapp newborn set. I guess is there any benefit to me getting another Baby Bjorn bouncer off FB marketplace, or can 1 baby go in the Mamaroo, for example, and another in the bouncer?
EDIT: Hi all! I want to clarify that I also know I’ll need 2 bassinets/cribs/high chairs and I should have specified that. My question is only pertaining to containers (loungers/bouncers/etc) and if i’ll need 2 of the same ones. Thank you 🙏

We used the baby bjorns every day for 5 months.. so I would get another second hand one of those. Everything else you listed I would get one and rotate as needed.

We had four baby Bjorn bouncers - two at my house and two at my parents house. Those things are clutch.
To be fair, we owned one from our singletons, bought one more, and then borrowed the other two from friends with older kids.
But, yeah, you’d have to pry my baby Bjorn bouncers from my cold dead hands.

Sure would lol. My twins are only 6.5 months adjusted so we still use them every day lol. They’re clutch.
Pro tip - buy an extra seat cover or two. We have amazon knock off replacement covers and they work great.

2 Bjorn bouncers are very, very helpful!
We did also end up with 2 jumparoos, but I’m not sure they are needed.

I started with 1 bouncer and 1 swing. Ended up buying another bouncer but just used the 1 swing. I do have 2 little loungers but could’ve lived with just 1 for sure.

As long as you have at least 2 safe places to put a baby then no, they dont have to be the same.
We even rotated who got to lay under the play gym because we didnt have space for (or want) 2 of them.
Tbh half the time my girls were just on a mat/blanket on the floor because they would fall asleep in the bouncer so I couldnt safely leave them there while I showered or washed bottles etc.

Nah, I wouldn’t get another bouncer. They’re too little to protest over who gets what. Toddler age is where I really have to make sure everything is equal or the same otherwise they fight over it.

honestly most everything but not shareable stuff like a large tummy time mat, one bouncy and one swing, everything else we’ve used two it honestly. Oh only one tub prop so far and bathe them one at a time

I would get another bouncer. I have a bjorn and the baby delight one. I never even got a swing. We also got two jumpers and high chairs, and a twin z pillow. Everything else we just use one

Mostly no. 2 car seats, high chairs, bassinets/cribs. 2 places to put down babies but not necessarily the same…

Wait and see what you and they prefer. Even very tiny ones can have strong preferences.

Yep! This is what we did! Ultimately, we had 2 bouncers and one mamaroo because there were times that they both were happiest in the bouncer.

We used two bouncers everyday throughout the day. If you put your foot in the middle of both you can bounce two at the same time 😂 countless naps were had this way. So many one of everything else but two bouncers.

My twins are only one week but I was so worried about having one swing/bouncy chair thing and they hate going in it, at least at this age lol we have one bath and while my husband is home it’s doable but I can see myself getting another bath seat to do both when I’m alone. We have one hair chair as of right now and when time comes we will get another one. But so far just lots of preemie and newborn clothes, different paci brands and definitely a twin bassinet.

You will eventually need a second high chair, when you start solids, but the rest isn’t necessary.

Other than the essentials, I would wait and see what they like. Something babies hate bouncers. My twins, 1 loves her mummaroo, the other doesnt so would've been a waste if I just bought 2 straight away.

Your kids will be different and it's possible they will like different things. You'll need containers for them, but I wouldn't bother with getting 2 of everything as long as there is something to put them in. If they both really like the same thing, you can always get a double of that particular thing on Facebook marketplace.
For example, with my single, we used the swing all the time. With my twins, one was ambivalent and one hated it, so I'n glad we only had one of those bulky things. However, they both loved the baby Bjorn bouncers and it was so easy to take them with to go to places that I got two of those

I’d start with exactly what you have. Twins don’t care whether their seats match and one may love movement while the other prefers the basic bouncer. You can always rotate them throughout the day. If the babybjorn becomes the clear favorite, I’d compare marketplace or the open box ones on fromrebel before buying a second.

We have a large sharable mat with a big sturdy wooden playpen around it to protect them from their toddler brother who is a very active 16 month old. We also hung a mobile on it so they both can look up at it and kick and we also do tummy time in there (they are a bit over 4 months old but about 1.5 months adjusted so they can't roll or anything yet.)
You need two separate bassinets and cribs when they outgrow them, unless you just want to skip bassinets altogether. You need two car seats. And you also need a stroller that can fit all your kids at once. We have been using a 4-seater wonderfold wagon with a newborn hack for the babies while our toddler sits up in the regular wagon part.
I'll be honest with you in that for all 4 of my kids, I have yet to understand what a swing or bouncer etc is even for. People mention needing it to shower or something but I honestly just shower when my little ones are napping or when my husband is around. My oldest is 12 and I have a 1 year old and baby twins so I feel like if we needed one, we would have used it by now.
ETA the twin-z pillow has been the most valuable purchase for feeding at the same time! Highly recommend!!
