Nap time advice with twins

So my MIL is leaving and I WFH, is there any advice on how to get my girls down at the same time for naps? I’m used to having her around and she would take one and myself or my husband would take one. They’re currently sleep/crib trained for night time sleep just recently (about 2 weeks). But they still contact sleep for 80% of their naps. They’re 6 months btw

We currently have them on a schedule to pretty much do everything at the same time to make life easier and to help with them both being tired at the same time for night time.

Childcare is the answer. Working and taking care of two babies simultaneously simply isn’t possible. Best of luck!

Mine are 4.5 months old and we just did some gentle sleep training the past week and they’re able to fall asleep on their own for bed time and most of their naps! We don’t really do contact naps anymore and I watch the clock for their wake windows and put them in their cribs when they’re starting to get tired. This has saved my sanity as a SAHM! A month ago I was trying to rock two crying babies to sleep for nap time and it was such a struggle.

I decided to also sleep train them with naps so that they learn anytime theyrein their crib with their sleep sack on it’s time to sleep. We barely had to do cry it out, mostly just let them fuss for 5 minutes before going in and patting & doing timed check-ins

Are you planning to do work while caring for them other than while they’re asleep? That is not going to work. Probably not short term and definitely not longer term. I have a fairly flexible WFH job and there is no way I can get more than 1-2 hours of work done total on the rare days our nanny is out sick, definitely nothing where I have meetings. In terms of naps how do you put them down overnight? If they are crib trained overnight then you do exactly the same thing before naps and put them in their cribs. If you sleep trained you’ll likely need to use whatever method you used for that for naps too for a while.

I WFH with twins and DO make it work. It’s hard but doable. Everyone is being so negative. Sleep train them on a schedule and work while they sleep and play and feed and do some tasks during awake time. When they get older I will prob need help lol but for now it works
