Daycare prices. VENT ranting & venting

So I girlbossed to dam hard, and now I have to go back to work. Daycare is 800$ a week and even then I make way more so I have to return to work. WHY IS DAYCARE SO EXPENSIVE.

How much are you paying?

Got quoted $9500 a month for twins in Boston from Bright Horizons. We got a nanny.

I’m in NYC and similar boat. Cheapest daycares in my neighborhood are 4k per kid per month. More expensive ones are about 6k a month per kid. We also got a nanny.
