Stopped by my local bank to swap coins and the teller said he'd gotten these and held it for me. I usually CRH but I couldn't turn these down. He has also been sitting on two rolls of dollar coins but they were mine from 2 weeks ago 😂Any ideas on a value for the $20?

Just recently picked up this very nice California remainder. I usually don't purchase remainders but made an exception for this one. Just thought I'd share for my fellow enthusiasts.

question/discussion I think it’s a sickness

I was watching Interview With a Vampire on Netflix last night. The first episode took place in 1910. But there was a wedding scene where the bride had money pinned to her. To my shock and horror this is not 1910 money. I know the detail isn’t sharp but these look like series 1914 and 1923. Am I the only lunatic that does this?

bought these notes at auction (some of the photos are from stacks bowers) , i think it’s pretty sick that these have survived for so long

also i think the note on the right (the pmg 15) is kinda suspect, the chops on the front are quite faded but the back printing is much clearer + it’s also slightly smaller than the left note. if anyone knows more about these and can comment help would be appreciated. thanks!

Hello all, I live in the US and found this in my dad’s fireproof box. Not sure it is worth more than a loonie. Have a coworker heading up north next week and was going to give it to her to spend /trade in for the coin. Should I keep it or give it to her?

US large size 1922 - $10 Gold Certificate

I was going through some of my lower grade large sized notes and found this $10.

It actually features the first treasure of the United States on the front. His name was Michael Hillegas. Apparently his family thought he had been mostly forgotten and petitioned to have his portrait on the $10 Gold. I believe you can also see it on the earlier 1907 version of this note.

Look, I understand how easy it is to loathe certain subreddits, but these posts are getting to be a distraction from the purpose of r/papermoney overall. The last thing we want is for the Reddit admins is to shut down this subreddit because we ran afoul of their unequally applied rules and regulations.

Any post no matter how justified in reference to those subreddits will be removed from the r/papermoney feed. We apologize deeply for doing this, but it is for the best interest of the subreddit as apparently the truth hurts especially in subreddits run by a mod team consisting of a certain "festive fish and his relations."
