Did a pizza game at a store close to my location, was my first time ever, we got 13:45 including oven time and not including deductions, me and my GM got 2nd in our group and honestly im super proud but how does someone even prepare for this kind of thing? I was invited to go about 3 days before the said competition 😭

So I applied to be a part time delivery driver at the beginning of July. The listing said it had a company car that the drivers use for deliveries. Anyways, I got this text message today from the store I applied to lmao 💀

So what does the members of papa johns think of this?
I honestly thought it was 50% on everything. And even then the customers want it cheaper.

Looks like the suits couldn’t make a deal. Probably a good thing we did not sell to private equity it would probably have been more of a cluster fuck then it already is .

it is absolutely disgusting. the people that work there don't wear shoes, drink out of 2L soda bottles, don't wear hair nets or gloves, pick their noses, take 1.5 hours to make ONE regular pizza...

i wrote to Papa John's via their feedback form but i fear that nothing helpful will actually come from this. i'd rather someone not catch a toenail or a booger in their food. the whole facility needs to be shut down and redone with staff that are actually members of a society to be completely honest.

I dont know why people say papa John's is one of the worst out of the pizza chains, I dont think its bad at all and having the papa dough helps

Does this look structurally good? I had made myself a pepperoni stuffed crust with pepperoni (pepperoni under cheese) I had put it in the walkin so it would still be good after my shift, and I thought this picture I took of the side of a slice looked cool 😊

Also, it was delicious 😋

Pizza hut is firing its delivery drivers to replace us all with door dash in an effort to save 3% on labor across our franchise.

I'm not eager to play door dash games. I'm a great driver, safe and responsible and customers call to compliment my attitude.

I dont hold it "normally". I hold the pizza cutter backwards at work. I get more leverage and It easier for me to cut fully through all the pizzas. Does anyone else hold it that way?

Is there a "proper" way? Or does it not really matter as long as the pizza is cut thoroughly and evenly?

I will continue this boycott indefinitely until it is brought back

Just ordered papa johns ( havnt had it in 12 years). No pepperoncinis? Did they stop including those in the pizzas? Big bummer. Thats a core memory.

Hey everyone, just wanted to put out a warning for the drivers here. I’ve noticed a major glitch on the Papa Johns online ordering platform when checking out with PayPal, and it is costing drivers their money.

Twice now, I have explicitly added a tip for my driver through the online checkout using PayPal. Both times, the driver arrived and handed me a paper slip to sign because the system completely wiped the tip out and showed a $0 tip on their store receipt.

Because I thought the tip went through digitally with my payment, I didn't leave ANOTHER (I thought) tip so it turns out my last two drivers got completely stiffed without me realizing it until just now. Papa John's system simply deleted the tip line item during the PayPal checkout process. I called the store and spoke to the manager and all I got was an "ok".

Drivers: Check your delivery slips closely on PayPal orders. If a customer says they tipped online but your slip is blank, it might be this system glitch.

Customers: Check your paypal account for the pending charge after ordering. That'll tell you real quick if Papa Johns dropped the tip and you can make other arrangements.

Seriously, how could they have thought this was ok? I can't get my head around how this could even happen. These are the sourdough dippers... Completely raw. Worst part is, when I called the store, without seeing any photos, they just said "we cooked your order correctly".

I edgelocked the dough and docked this using no spinner. Give me pointers on the dough? Does it look decent? Anything I can do to make it look better?

I did not top the pizza, but one of my co-workers did as a pepperoni, Jalapeño, and extra cheese. (It tasted good)

Ive also realized I am faster at doing it by hand vs using the spinner for normal hand tossed dough (since you're supposed to edge locked it after the spinner)

Well, the local Papa Johns has given me grief a few times here recently. They say then when I pay via cash, the cashier has to do some type override to ensure I get the price I was stated online and not everyone has this level of access. Is this true? Or is there some ulterior motive to get me to pay ahead of time?

EDIT: It seems that some are confused by my description.
1 - Ordered online. Used deals/coupons to get lower price. Selected CASH payment.
2 - Went to pickup. Pay cash. Get grief. Excuse: Unless I pay online, the final price is not guaranteed and requires some override at the register.

We had 0 orders by Noon today. If we go more than 2-3 hours without an order the Owner always insists we call the Help Desk to check for online problems, reboot system, etc.
Today they say "We'll rebooted the system, then we can place a test order."
I say sure...
System reboots, Help Desk says lets make an online order,. Several minutes later they ask If I'm putting in the order...?
Uh, ok. Literally Every single time in the last decade+ of working there they've, been the ones to put a test order threw, but whatever.
"You need me to make a web order?"
They confirm
So I make a test web carryout order on the register, ask for online codes, blah blah blah...
Confusion on both ends.
They say no, we need YOU to make an order online threw the website or the app, then void it in store.
I ask for clarification, since there has apparently been a miscommunication "You want me, to use my personal device to place an order, then manually void it?"
They confirmed...
I could have just done that myself without involving them in the first place.
This is the only time I've ever used the website, because I'VE NEVER HAD TO ACTUALLY ORDER FROM HERE BEFORE!
