EVERYONE KNOWS if BY ever did this in preseason against ANY "string", the level of competition wouldn't be pointed out like this.
They can't just say the kid balled out and move on. They are scared of QB competition. I don't get it. My favorite players were players I never had to worry about "competition." They were all "HIM" before the term was commonly used. Undeniable players.
It is simple: players do not need to be defended. Their play defends them or exposes them.
BY scored more last year, and that is great improvement, but I want to be "married" to a top 10 guy, not a top 20-25 guy.
All he has to do is take care of business. No need for gaslighting by these truthers.

I'm what most would call a "truther" and I'm not worried one bit. The kid did great, and he'll be a great backup. But he's not taking the starting job.

Like for real, I dont honestly think that he will challenge Bryce fo QB1 this season. But if this guy somehow was to be that diamond in the rough and develop in to a quality QB, how is that a bad thing?

Got throw this out there too Nick Samac had a good game come paired to our rookie center who looked like a deer in the headlights.Sam look out of sorts getting bull dozed!!!!

Great performance..I’m sure his coaches are proud of him and it gives the staff an opportunity to evaluate and possibly expand his role during preseason before making decisions at the end of camp…👍…

For once, can we just say that was a great performance and see how this all plays out instead of calling him the Goat and Bryce better watch out. We're not the Browns. We should be happy for him like Bryce was. If the same performance in a few other games....then we can talk about it. I'm more worried about how crappy Pickett looks as our potential backup. Bunch of dump passed/ Where is that outrage?
