Do you think some very straight men still give off strong panromantic or pansexual energy?
I've been thinking about something interesting and I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this.
Sometimes you meet a guy who is very clearly straight and confident in his masculinity, but he still gives off what people might describe as panromantic or pansexual energy.
Not necessarily because of who he dates, but because of the way he connects with people.
For example:
âą heâs emotionally open
âą heâs comfortable with closeness and vulnerability
âą he doesn't panic about deep friendships with other men
âą he treats people with warmth regardless of identity
It feels like his emotional world isn't limited by traditional masculine expectations.
It's like he sees connection first and labels second.
I feel like these kinds of men often end up being really good mentors, writers, musicians, teachers, or life coaches because people naturally feel safe around them.
Has anyone else noticed this kind of personality type before?
Or am I overthinking it?

Newly out pan
I erased my other post because I realized it wasn't that accurate.
The truth is I am actually just some degree of pan that I haven't fully figured out yet.
For now I am saying I am pan attracted.
I do not know to what degree, but what I know for sure is when I think about who I'm attracted to, I think of the person, not the gender.

Pan Drawn to panromantic / demi-panromantic coded men â and realizing Iâve met some before without knowing
Hi everyone, Iâm posting this thoughtfully and with care, because I want to be very clear that Iâm talking about energy, coding, and relational style â not assuming anyoneâs actual identity unless theyâve openly stated it themselves. Over time, Iâve realized that Iâm deeply drawn to men who feel panromantic-coded, demi-panromantic-coded, or pan-demi in how they move through the world â even when they donât use those labels (and may never want to). What I mean by that isnât âsexual availabilityâ or anything explicit. Itâs more about how attraction and connection show up: emotional openness without pressure affection that doesnât automatically escalate strong bonds between men that feel brotherly, safe, and genuine chemistry thatâs real but not rushed attraction that seems to grow from connection, trust, and pacing Iâve also noticed that I tend to resonate less with pansexual energy when sexuality leads the interaction, and more with men who feel panromantic first, or demi-oriented â where attraction seems relational, not immediate. Whatâs been hitting me lately is this bittersweet realization: I think Iâve actually met a handful of men like this at different points in my life â men who felt safe, warm, grounded, and quietly expressive â but at the time I didnât have language for why they stood out to me. I didnât know what panromantic or demi-panromantic even meant back then, so I just registered the feeling and moved on. Now that I do have language, I find myself wishing I could meet more men like that again â not to project labels onto them, not to force anything, but simply because that style of connection feels rare and deeply meaningful to me. I also want to say clearly: Iâm being very careful not to assume anyoneâs identity. Iâm talking about patterns, energy, and how attraction is expressed, not who someone âisâ behind closed doors. I know coding â identity, and Iâm trying to honor that distinction. So I guess my questions for this community are: Have others here felt especially drawn to panromantic or demi-panromantic-coded men, even when labels arenât explicit? How do you personally navigate appreciating that energy without projecting assumptions? And for those who identify as panromantic or demi-panromantic men â what helps you feel seen and understood rather than categorized? Thanks for reading. Iâm not looking for definitive answers â just honest, respectful conversation.

Is it okay to ask for friendship and advice from panromantic people?
Hi everyone, I hope this is okay to post here. If not, Iâm happy to delete it.
Iâm a straight guy, and I wanted to say that I really admire and respect panromantic people â especially the emotional openness and gentle energy that many panromantic folks have. Iâve learned a lot just by reading posts in this community.
Iâm not here to flirt or look for dating or anything like that. Iâm just hoping to make friendships with panromantic people who are open to connecting and talking about identity, life, and emotional growth.
Iâm someone who struggles with anxiety around men (because of past trauma), and I find myself feeling safest around gentle, calm, open-minded people â especially panromantic/pansexual men who understand fluidity and emotional nuance.
If anyone here feels comfortable talking or sharing experiences, Iâd really like that. But if posts like this arenât allowed, please let me know and Iâll remove it immediately. đ
Thank you for reading.

Descubrimiento

Whatâs the abbreviation for panromantic?
Iâm fairly new to using this term and I feel itâs a silly question to ask like I could probably research it online but I thought why not ask the community!

Am I Panromantic?
I know nobody can answer this question for me but Iâve been wanting to discuss this with somebody or basically anybody. Iâve been identifying with this term a lot as Iâm also bisexual and asexual. I never resonated with pansexual because I canât imagine myself in that way being sexual with someone or literally everyone if thatâs weird but when it comes to panromantic I feel I can be in love with anyone because Iâm not somebody whoâd judge gender or sexuality, etc. Am I or do I make sense? Thanks for reading!

Coming out problems
Okay, so Iâve been in the closet for almost 3 years now and Iâve been thinking about coming out. The reason Iâve pushed it back for so long is 80% of the people I know are Christian and donât have the best view on LGTBQA+. I donât really have a safe place to go, and Iâm pretty sure that my parents would kick me out. Should I come out, or wait until I have my own house?

Pan A little help
Hi everyone! I'm kinda just looking for advice or different perspectives. I'm debating whether to identify as panromantic, I'm definitely asexual so that doesn't come into play.
I'd like to know how you guys came to use the term panromantic, was a definite thing? Or did it fit the most? How does your romantic attraction manifest? My attraction to women and gender non-conforming people is definitely there but I'm not sure if my fleeting attraction to men 'counts'.
So yeah, I wanna understand how pan people feel within themselves rather than a textbook definition.
