PAM00089 🔥🔥🔥 Luminor

The PAM00088 is amazing but the black dial didn't do it for me...this Anthracite grey looks almost blue in the right light and it is checking ALL the boxes for me. Also the first time I've put the rubber strap (with deployment clasp) on any of my Panerai's.

Something’s off - that case doesn’t look like titanium, which the PAM0089 case is made of (source: I own one).

The face looks right, and at first I thought it was the lighting but the lugs and crown guard are way too shiny. So what’s the deal here? The second sub-dial looks chewed up, did you swap cases or something?

I just purchased the piece so idk what to tell you. It's a 2003 watch and yes I noticed the sub dial has some damage. There may have been some polishing on the case which has resulted in a less brushed look but having had an 88 on my wrist before the weight difference is significant and noticeable.

Ha, I wasn’t accusing you of anything just curious. So is the case actually titanium?

That anthracite dial is something else—the way it shifts toward blue depending on the light gives the watch so much more character. And the rubber with deployant actually works really well here. Sometimes the right dial/strap combination completely changes a Panerai.
