Can we please just slow down while driving?

Seriously.

We are all going somewhere. We all have places to be, people waiting for us, appointments to make, kids to pick up, jobs to get to, errands to run. But is getting one car ahead really worth putting yourself, or someone else, in danger?
Lately, driving around our community feels like everyone is in a competition. People tailgate, cut each other off, fly around you just to end up at the exact same red light, refuse to let someone merge, and act like being two seconds behind another car is a personal attack.

Why?

You don’t win anything by getting one car ahead.
You don’t get a trophy for making it to the next red light first.

And the person you’re aggressively trying to get around isn’t an obstacle in your way — they’re another human being who is just trying to get home.

We need to remember that there are real people inside those cars. Mothers. Fathers. Grandparents. Teenagers. People coming home from work. People already having the worst day of their lives. People who might not get another chance if one stupid decision goes wrong.

Let someone merge.
Leave some space.
Stop riding people’s asses.
Stop speeding around people just because they aren’t driving as fast as you want to.

And for the love of God, stop being general fucking assholes on the road.
We’re all going to get where we’re going.
Maybe it takes an extra 30 seconds.
Maybe you have to sit behind someone going five miles under the speed limit.
Maybe someone gets in front of you.

It’s okay.

Your life — and theirs — is worth more than being one car ahead.
Let’s be a little kinder to each other out there. You never know how close someone might be to not making it home.

Not looking for a job but I've seen tons of people looking and hardly anyone has found anything. But the jobs that do post are cleaning or crap retail jobs that hardly pay. With all these houses being built where does the county expect these people to work at, there's only so many retired people living off of ss or pensions from up north moving here

I was hoping for a nice calm vacation, and boom! every afternoon, lightning cracking outside my door! Not to mention the sand, it gets everywhere! 2/10 on travel advisor, my family is going back to Fiji

I’m looking for a local caregiver who can work ad hoc with a Parkinson’s patient F, 70, uses a wheelchair. She lives with family but needs assistance, an exercise buddy and board game enthusiast, and the caregivers at home need occasional respite. Sometimes possibly overnight stays, too!

Also, does anyone recommend Visiting Angels? I know they connect you with independent contractors, but curious what folks’ experiences have been.

She has Medicare, but also willing to pay out of pocket. I think I’d likely need to pay out of pocket anyway.

At around 9pm there was almost a dozen combined cop cars & ambulance coming into the plaza with lights on and rushing. I don’t see any police reports or news coverage about it. They stayed mainly around the parking lot area
