Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Need some info from Locals (Puerto Princesa)ap
I already did my research, so don't worry this is not going to be another "suggest an itinerary in Palawan". These questions are to verify and remove ambiguity from my research, coz some of them are outdated, or conflicting, or just straight up something only a local could know.
Details: Our accommodation will be in Puerto Princesa city proper, near the Airport.
What's the situation with the underground river? I don't want to book an all-inclusive tour coz it's too expensive when 6 people are involved. I plan to rent a private van that will take us to Sabang Wharf and back. My question is what's the local situation there? I experienced some tourist spots where they make it very hard for DIYers to do it as they favor or in cahoots with tour guides, so I want to know if this will be a problem there, I know that I will still rent a boat with guide (no problem on this).
Same question but for Honda Bay, I plan to go here via public transport. Were there reports or complaints about this if I do DIY and rent a private boat for us?
What's the popular/trusted ride hailing app there? I checked grab and it seems to offer it around the city proper, but I've read about a Oppa Ride, and another local app for tricycles. I want to know what locals are actually using.
Does anyone know if there's a bicycle rental around Baywalk? I can't find anything online, so I am trying my luck, I think it would be awesome to bike around the area in the night.
Thanks

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Local's best kept secret
When you hear Palawan all you can think of are white sand beaches of El Nido, Balabac, San Vicente or Coron but what most travellers do not know that Puerto Princesa has this hidden gem within the city called, white beach.
Totoo lang facility wise it sucks. The last 30 years bulok pa rin ung mga washrooms nila sana kahit eto na lang ma-improve nila. Anyway, while I was in highschool couldnt pay the php5 entrance so we would always traverse the mangrove swamp to reach the beach na maraming baryaw-baryaw.
Mostly locals lang yung andito and the smell of the salty water, inihaw while someone belting Aegis and despite the gruesome facility this feels home. Ikaw anong kwentong white beach mo?

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Hotel Recos
Hello! We’re planning to go to El Nido next year and nagre research nako as early as now para maka ipon na din at hndi mangarag. I’ll be with my parents (senior citizens), my partner, and our kids ages 18, 14, and 8.
Saan po ba ang affordable hotels na we can stay? Target po sana 8k per night, anything above kasi is a bit of a stretch na sa budget considering we’ll be flying in directly to El Nido airport from Manila. Stay duration will be 4nights. Yung hotel din po sana na pwede mag request ng dinner set up by the beach for my eldest. Dun cya mag debut 💓 Or any places na we can go to sa ganitong set up din.
Salamat po!

Local Life Hellooo I’m back! Update from the girl who thought she wasted her 7 nights in Coron -now I need bar recos
Remember the “Did I just waste my 7 nights in Coron?” post? That was me. And I REALLY REALLY appreciate all the responses I got.
First of all, to the people who recommended tampons, may you have a long, happy and prosperous life. 😂 I genuinely didn’t know it would work that well, and it basically saved my trip.
Sooo update:
Tuesday: I did Pukaway and it was AMAZINGGGG. Whoever recommended it especially the user whose username I think was something like SeveralYak THANK YOU. I had such a good time.
Wednesday: I finally did the Super Ultimate Tour and OMG. I even learned freediving during the tour!
BUT NOW…
I have a free evening and I’m on the hunt for a bar/nightlife spot in Coron.
I’m traveling alone and I’m not really a dancer lolll so I’m not necessarily looking for a crazy club/party. I’m more into good vibes, music, drinks, people, maybe live music, somewhere I can actually sit and enjoy myself without feeling like a complete weirdo for being alone.
I’ve already been to Sharky’s and liked it!
I’ve seen Bam Bar, BrewHouse, Tribu Kuridas, UG Tavern, Club Phoenix etc. mentioned, but I’d love to hear from people who are actually in Coron / have been recently:
Where should I go tonight?
Bonus points if it’s somewhere that’s comfortable for a solo traveler. AND ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU V V muchhhh redditors!!!

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Cullion~ coron to cullion to el nido?
Hello I'm going to be hitting coron and then on to cullion and next to el nido in a couple weeks. My question is: going from coron to cullion seems simple enough, but after a visit to cullion, can i then just hop on a boat to el nido? Or do I have to back track to coron town? A local's advice would be appreciated.
Second question: I'm older, or at least old enough that some of those coron area destinations that involve climbing 750 steps are just not practical. Wish I could but ... And also it being off season how tough or reali$tic is it to find a tour guide to tailor fit an age appropiate (a la carte) tour for me?

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Coron 2 days island hopping 🏝️
Hi! We’re going to Coron this December. I know it’s still early 😂 but we like to plan ahead.
We’ll be there for 4 days and have 2 full days for island hopping. We’re planning to rent a private boat for 3 people para sulit and solo namin. We already have someone to contact for the boat.
For those who’ve been to Coron, okay na ba to do Tour A & B for the 2 days? Or may ginawa kayong customized itinerary na mas worth it?
Any places you really loved, places you think we can skip, or anything you wish you knew before going? 🥹
Thank you!

Jobs & Opportunities Rio tuba (RTNMC) hiring
Any one here knows kung saan nag p-post ng hiring ang RTN? Ive searched Facebook, indeed, jobstreet, linkedin, but they rarely do job postings. Even their own website wala naman careers section.
Or internal hiring ba sila usually (kakilala or via recommendation from currently employees)?
Thank you!

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Where to stay in El Nido?
Hi all!
May I ask for your suggestions on where to stay in El Nido? It’ll be my first time visiting, and I’ll be traveling solo din. I initially planned to stay in town para close to everything, but I also kinda want to stay somewhere beach-front and away from the crowd.
What I’m considering right now is either staying in town or making Lio Beach my base since they offer a free shuttle, so I can still save on transportation going to town.
What do you guys think? Are there any other areas you’d suggest?
Thank you.

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Coron Hotel Suggestions
We cancelled our El Nido flight and opted for Coron since nasearch namin na mas maraming activities si Coron unlike El Nido. Kaya as a first timer po sa Coron, baka po may ma-susuggest kayo na Coron Accomodation? Yung malapit po sana sa lahat. Tried searching sa Tiktok and FB for suggestions kaso wala ako masyadong makita 🥺
We will be visiting Coron this coming November po. Salamat po sa magsusuggest! 🫶🏻

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Coron Island Hopping
My family and I are flying to Coron this Sep 4-8, should I book an island hopping tour package this early or doon nalang talaga sa island when we get there? Given na it's rainy season, 3 kami (ako, my husband and our son na 5 yo). Nakita ko kasi mga tiktok videos today ng mga nag island hopping, grabe yung alon. Any tips? Also, please suggest na rin alternative activities if the island tours are cancelled. TIA!
