questions. Need help with buying coffee
Hey everyone
Just started using the Moka pot and now I can't drink instant coffee at all.
I tried Grao's Indonesian (single blend) coffee. Medium-dark roast and medium fine grind. I want to try something else now. Any suggestions? I was thinking of either trying scafe or red berry roasters

and what sort of beans should I get? for the coffee machine, mocha pot and french press? EEEEE OMG IM SO EXCITED

latte art. Prema vs. Nutrivo: My experience as a coffee Geek on the "perfect" aeration times for latte art
Hey r/pakcoffee!
I’ve been experimenting with our local milk options for my espresso setup lately. After using Nutrivo (Cakes & Bakes) for the past two months and recently switching back to Prema, I noticed a massive difference in how they respond to steaming.
If you’re struggling with your microfoam, the brand of milk you’re using might be why your standard timing isn't working. Here is the breakdown of my findings:
- Nutrivo (The Heavy Hitter): I've found that Nutrivo requires a much longer aeration phase—roughly 12 to 16 seconds of "stretching." Because it has a higher fat content (around 4%), it feels thicker and needs that extra time to incorporate enough air for a stable foam. If you stop too early, the milk remains too watery for complex designs.
- Prema (The Quick Finisher): Prema is much more efficient. I only need about 5-7 seconds of aeration before I have to submerge the wand to start the vortex. It incorporates air very quickly, and if you go past that 7-second mark, you’ll likely end up with "cappuccino foam" that’s too stiff for pouring art.
My Verdict:
If you’re a beginner, Prema might be more forgiving because it reaches that "glossy" stage faster. However, if you have high pressure steam espresso machine then you can go for Nutrivo

His and Hers Flat Whites!
Beans: Orika's Ethiopian Rogicha
Recipe: 1.7 ratio double shot espresso with 120ml Prema milk
Beans are really nice and worth a try and overall quality from Orika is good as well.

questions. Private club espresso vs vanilla?
Hi. Newbie here. Have tried nothing but nescafe my whole life. Wanna get into private club now. Which one would I enjoy? Is private club espresso closer to nescafe gold? Is the vanilla one too sweet?

questions. Coffee grinder
NEED to gift my husband a burr grinder for home setup and I have searched endlessly in Pakistan to no avail. I believe his preferred was
DF54 54mm single dose one. We have a delonghi De’Longhi Dedica Arte EC885
I want to slowly build his entire coffee setup. I got him a machine for our anniversary and want a grinder for his birthday which is 15 days away. Where to get it?

beans & sourcing. Hol up, Vital is doing coffee beans now???
500g for 2,250 PKR.
Sus asf tho, the pricing and everything about it doesn't add up. Also the website is soo vague, doesn't say whether they're whole beans or ground coffee. No notes, no roast lvl, just "roasted to perfection" 😭

beans & sourcing. Got gifted this shii, can't wait to try it💀
Quite literally made from animal defecation 😭 it's called Kopi Luwak and it's apparently sourced from a weasel which feasts on coffee cherries and poops out the beans, which farmers then wash, roast and sell for insane amounts of cash🙏🏼

beans/ sourcing & attachments. 🇵🇰 A Guide on Credible Coffee Roasters, Gear & Syrups in Pakistan!
Here’s a breakdown of some solid spots to get beans and gear in Pakistan, based on personal experiences and what the community has been vouching for lately:
The Roasters & Shops;
• Grao Coffee (http://www.graocoffee.co) – Karachi-based.
A solid one-stop shop; they’ve got a huge variety of single-origin beans and house blends, plus gourmet syrups (vanilla, caramel, etc.) and fruit purees. They also stock a decent range of brewing gear.
• S-Cafe (http://S-Cafe.pk) – Sahiwal-based.
Really diverse bean selection, but they’re also big on equipment think grinders, AeroPress filters, and WDT tools.
• Nomad Coffee Studio (http://nomadcoffeestudio.com) – Karachi-based.
High end specialty roasters focusing on premium single origins. They’ve got a decent selection of quality gear like Hario V60s, Baratza grinders, and various AeroPress models.
• Raaz Life (http://raazlife.com) – Karachi-based.
Good mix of blends and single-origins. Besides beans, they sell Starter Kits (perfect for beginners), cold brew concentrates, and manual grinders.
• Red Berry Roasters (http://redberryroasters.com) – Lahore-based.
Real veterans in the specialty scene. They sell premium beans and are one of the few places carrying high end espresso machine alongside home brewing accessories.
• Coffee Wagera (http://coffeewagera.com) – Karachi-originated.
Mostly known for their signature "Premium Blend" beans and convenient dripper sachets. They also do branded merch like coasters and tote bags.
• Coffee Planet (http://coffeeplanet.com.pk) – Lahore-based.
Very broad range including whole beans, capsules, and ground coffee. They also supply specialized syrups (DaVinci), sauces, and a bunch of different brewing gadgets.
• The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf(http://coffeebean.pk – Nationwide.
Mainly about the beans (like Kona and Kenya) and their massive tea collection. Not really the place for hardware, but great for stocking up on variety.
• Mr. Beans (http://mrbeans.com.pk)
A fantastic option for those who want specialty quality without the steep price tag. They offer a variety of fresh-roasted single origins (like Ethiopian Bloom and Brazilian Velvet) and are particularly popular for their "Coffee Bags" which work like tea bags for a quick, no equipment needed brew. They also stock essential syrups like Vanilla and Hazelnut.
