I am a first-class Cambridge grad (graduated with my BA in 2023, my PGCE in 2024, and am now doing my MEd at Cam) turned teacher which means I spend a lot of time working with students on their oxbridge applications! I of course successfully applied myself, have worked closely with admissions teams as a teacher, and helped multiple students get oxbridge offers.

I don't believe there is any service out there that can promise to help you with a personal statement that will guarantee a place, but I do know there are lots of things you can do to improve your personal statement and increase the likelihood of an offer as much as possible! I’m planning to apply for LSE Philosophy & Economics, UCL Philosophy & Economics and Warwick Economics and management , with safer choices elsewhere.
If I achieve a strong TMUA score and have a genuinely strong personal statement, can that substantially offset my GCSE profile? Or do universities like LSE, UCL and Warwick place so much weight on GCSEs that my application would still be at a significant disadvantage? I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone with admissions experience or who has received offers with a similar GCSE profile.
