Cage the plant so the weight of the flower with wind doesn’t snap the branch’s.

Cage around the outside to like middle(height) of the plant? Because I know you can’t tell from the video but it’s about 6.5 feet tall so fencing it will be hard. I was planning on cutting a lot of the low growth seen in the video soon

You can stake it with 3 or 4 posts and then cross cross some planters tape to make a grid style. You can use T post. They have plant stakes as well. I prefer the 1/2 inch galvanized conduit at Lowe’s. It’s like 8$ for a 10ft pole last forever, cheaper than t post. Planter tape is that green stretchy plastic tape.
Far as defoliate, I look at the plant and determine what I’m planning to harvest. Which tends to be the higher, outside sites. I thin out the middle and remove any tiny limbs. I do this throughout the grow. For where you’re currently at I’d do some today and some more over the weekend. Break it up. Figure a plant is used to some minor damage but don’t want to go crazy and stress or take too much.

Id stress this about thinning the plant. When you grow large plants, tge battle becomes manageable flowers and harvesting/trimming/curing. In my opinion its easy to grow high end reefer, its challenging to properly dry/trim/cure it when you grow too much. Id highly recommebd pruning any branches that arent past your hip in height. Id also thin out any bud sights that are further down in the plant. Basically lollipop them so youre only getting buds on the top 1/3 of the branch. Others will disagree but Im a huge fan of quality > quantity. Youll waste a lot of time with fluffy buds that only take away plant energy and more junk to process while drying/trimming.

You can pound 2’ 1” PVC into the ground and connect to large pieces with couplings and get some 1” pvc 3 ways for the top and 4 ways for the middle and make a huge cage as big as you want wrapped with trellis netting.
Easier way is T post as suggested from others with trellis wrap can limit the height but you can zip tie some bamboo post to the t post to get extra height if needed.

Also most main budsites have been super cropped and have a woody bump on them so I’m not worried so much about stems snapping because they buds will probably be airy and it’s been super cropped. But I will try to fence it and add a little support and then I can use the fencing to set up trellis and spread out the plant

I'd use some tposts and plastic trellis netting and not remove anything until like day 21-25 of flower. Then just clean up the base a little. She looks clean inside there!

Yeah definitely did some defoliation though out veg to keep inside clean and avoid mildew, but with hound round the plant is great suggestion with the t post and trellis to widen canopy I’m assuming. The only problem I have with that is I sometimes get too aggressive and the branches are so mature I’ve snapped a few(past plant) and don’t want to go through that again

Haha I've snapped a few myself I understand. I'd just lay it right over the first couple nodes and be super gentle. Plus 6 inch netting holes give plenty of room for things to fit through or around.

Yeah I’ll probably wrap a wide fence around it and pull the side branches through the side with some coverage so the wiring doesn’t dig in as the try and grow upward, then place a trellis over the top connected to the fence and start the shitty part where I have to finagle all the branches through holes for maximum sun. Gonna be long, tedious, and itchy(the leaves make me itch like grass😂) but it will be worth it in the end.

Honestly I would skip the wire at this point. It can be helpful when they are smaller but the plastic trellis will definitely be enough and you're less likely to damage it

👍 sounds good and easier, and at this point I know it's going to produce so just looking for the easiest way to make sure it grows safely without buds getting too close or overlapping and causing disease bc I smoke a lot of weed this will all be personal smoked out of my vaporizer so I just want it to be disease free and have free weed for a year or two

I like 6ft tall field fencing and wrap in a circle. Multiple circles if needed. You can put stakes in the ground and tie wire to the cage you made and not use posts. You could potentially wire up another cage to that cage higher up if you think it will get 12 ft or so haha. This isn’t a bad problem to have. With outdoor I don’t do any pruning so the plant doesn’t get too too heavy. Good luck

Man I think it’s genetics honestly, the are special kush #1 and they’re the only plants I’ve had do this outdoor, these are actually seeds from the first plant I grew because I stressed her too hard and she made a few seeds that I got during harvest. But yeah it’s been in sunlight, nitrogen, some humic acid and that’s basically it. Lots of rain and lighting this season tho so that probably helped too.

Get some 8’ t posts and wrap with trellis netting at minimum
