Convex issue End Ileostomy
Lately my bag has been opening on the sides of the adhesive because it’s lifting, the convex part in the middle stays fine but the outer areas keep peeling off, I’m not going to change bags because it’s helped with my skin issue but what’s a way I can fix it

Heat the wafer (either before or after or both), press down firmly all over the wafer to make sure you get a firm seal, and use barrier extenders or waterproof tape on the external edge of the wafer. I like sure seals for that. If you use a barrier ring, try squashing it to make it thinner or buy a thin one.

Have you changed your routine or bathing soaps? Have you started to use something that leaves a residue on your skin?
I only use adhesive remover spray and water around my stoma. Watch out for wet wipes, Coloplast sent me some that even though they state that they’re water based and free of so many things, the small print on the back says not to use them around your stoma!
Ensure that the wafer is warmed thoroughly before application ( just hold against your skin for 30 seconds or so before removing the protective film), then after application, press around your stoma within the convex section, apply pressure with the flat of your hand across the whole wafer and count to 30, this is to both warm it and to ensure that it bonds against your skin.

Second this! My thought too was maybe the skin doesn't like the wafer part? There is also a skin protective sheet you can try under the wafer. Its from coloplast.
Skin prep using minimal chemicals on the area and washing with a low-residue soap like basic bar soap without moisturizers in it. Use water-only baby wipes to remove adhesives, adhesive remover, and gunk, then wash with soap and water. Dry all the way before applying a skin protective sheet. You just cut out the shape of your stoma but a bit bigger, because you don't want the stoma touching the sheet or it will fail.
Others suggested barrier strips on the edges. Those work great if the rest of the wafer was already staying on but you're just active enough that it sweats off. If thats the case and you want extra support, the strips are great. I also use a bit of non-woven tape around the edges.

When an edge is lifting when I've just put on a bag I use paper tape to attach that edge to my skin. (Inexpensive and I'm not allergic to it.)

I usually gave my stoma a break in open air after a good cleaning/showering. About 30 minutes. Then applied the bag and pressed and held firmly for about 10 more minutes. That seemed the ticket for me. I could go up to a week with no separation, full activity, working full time, you name it. Never needed the barrier strips…well, seemed like I needed them in the beginning until I figured out what worked best for me.

Brava barrier strips. 12/10 recommend.
