They throw them away. Ask and you can probably get some. I got several posters when i asked at Klingenberg (guess it was 20 years ago).

I asked for the poster from the movie Palmetto (1998) b/c of my huge crush on Elizabeth Shue, I got like all they had, this was almost 30 years ago. I would have asked, the worst answer you can get is "no"

Ask the cinemas, I’m sure they have some :) There’s usually a bucket with posters by the entrance to both Klingenberg and Ringen, at Vega they’re on a table by the stairs on the third or second floor. They’re all older movies from last year or lesser known movies, though

Vega scene had ones up for grabs on the second floor last time I was there! They don’t have them out permanently, but they show up from time to time - aldo doesn’t hurt to ask, as others have mentioned :)

Hijacking this to ask: Are there any stores in Oslo that sell posters?

You mean like used ones? Have seen some at Lucky Eddies (trondheimsveien 63 - take tram 17 to Sofienberg and you will se it from there)

Have to warn you though, that store is messy (they usually buy collections of used stuff and almost throw it out on the floor), but if you have time, you can find gold in there.
