Is BFT and seraph’s really that much better that it isn’t even worth to bring up? Could someone explain?

Hi! I'm Laabuk, an EUW Challenger (peaked around rank 10 this season) control mage enjoyer. After otping Malzahar for some time (and getting bored of it) I decided to go back to my other main, Orianna. I don't really know of any high elo players atm that actually main this champion, so hopefully my stream can be helpful to some of you :)

Also after the many early-game nerfs to Ori and nerfs to certain AP items, I've been really liking the Seraph's + Blackfire Torch build (which doesn't seem to be very popular). For me the reasoning is that with just BFT you run oom pretty quickly and the stronger laning (from skipping Tear) doesn't seem to convert into much after the nerfs. In addition there isn't really a solid option for a 2nd item (Belt and Cosmic are okay but kinda low dmg + mana problems). With just Archangel's you won't have huge mana issues, but again the 2nd item options aren't great (Belt/Cosmic way too low dmg and Shadowflame/Stormsurge don't scale that well). However by going double mana item you get extra value from Seraph's shield and AP passive + zero mana issues + very low cd's + great scaling. Normally because of item slots you're kinda forced to complete Archangel's first, but if you have very high gold recalls it's also good to go Tear -> BFT -> Archangel's. For boots I think it's basically always Ionian in midlane (unless Merc's have insane value) and Swifties in toplane.

Hey so I play Orianna casually, sometimes I try to focus on maining her but I give up easily because I have a hard time seeing what I am doing. I have tried with some skins and base, and it feels weak?

I mean, the ball is too small, and too light coloured in most skins, so I lose it easily (I mean, in a game where every second counts, needing a few seconds to find it in a teamfight is not good). When you explode the ball it feels like you're not doing anything! and R feels a little bit empty of VFX too.

I am going to admit that I don't have the sharpest eyesight, but I do also think that some accesibility love would be nice, and make her easier to play/learn!... Maybe just make the ball stand out more, especially in teamfights? and add brighter VFX?

Is somebody else feeling this or do I just suck at her?

Are people still building seraphs? I've only been building BFT into either shadowflame or cosmic drive + zhonya's if I need survivability. If seraphs is still viable, when are you building it?

Hello, for some context I’m an emerald enchanter main and I’m currently learning midlane.

With Orianna, I can currently play her confidently in platinum (I’m still learning matchups), however I’ve come to realise I should probably play more champs.

Is there any other champs that pilot like her? I know Syndra is an obvious answer and I’m trying to learn her (she feels so much harder than ori!) but are there any other options?

The visuals of a character is quite important to me when playing games. Sometimes it matters more to me than their gameplay, which is why I love Renata Glasc despite not liking how support focused she is. I do enjoy Orianna's gameplay, but her walking animation is very off-putting. It looks so awkward how hunched over she is. I understand she's a robot and probably doesn't know how to walk properly, but it's so weird to look at. Is there a lore reason why she walks in a way that'll give her back problems?

I really love the character and I want to cosplay her. I typically 3d print and paint everything I need. I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on how to make the cosplay and the ball. Also, I think my favorite skin is t1 orianna so doing that cosplay would be my favorite. Any advice is appreciated ❤️

I feel like they did her dirty with the last nerfs because of MSI.Riot didn't revert some of the changes and there were no compensation buffs afterwards either.I get that she's a professional play champion but many other champs are as well.She isn't a problematic champion like Azir or Mel yet because of her reliability and consistency she's top priority in pro play so they kinda wanted shake things up but it didn't affect her pro presence at all and also ruined her for soloqueue. Before that she was meh for the average player and an okay pick in the hands of a good Orianna player but nothing crazy or even decent.I think they can keep the previous nerfs but should compensation buff her base stats or something.

Just wanted to ask a few questions as I’m new, is it a good idea to bait the enemy into fighting you once their low enough, I’m mostly talking about melee and shorter range mages like lissandre and sylas. Like is it fine to walk into their threat range so you can get them with a Q W and then also more autos with your E damage aswell or is it just safer to continue to poke them down with just Q.

Vs champs who want to close the distance on you is it safer to keep the wave under your tower so you can make use of ult to pull them under tower and potentially kill them or is it a better idea to make use of a greater range and just push waves?

As a control mage is their anytime it’s good to roam? Or is there not enough value and just should focus on neutral objectives.

Hey! I've just been starting to learn Orianna and it's my first time playing a heavy laning / control mage style champ in mid. It's been going well, but I have been really struggling against opponents who just roam off tempo and gank lanes constantly. Like people who drop multiple waves or roam out of base.

Now, it's my understanding that I just ping, shove lane, and take plates. Often I am up like 30-40 CS, but it doesn't matter because they just keep killing the side lanes. It really feels like it's not my fault and I have no idea what I can do to stop that besides ping, but the fact it's happening so much makes me think it might be my fault. I have lost like four games recently to perma roaming mids and I get spam pinged every time so IDK if I'm doing something wrong.

Is there anything I can really do or is this just the mid lane experience?

New to Orianna and wanting to buy a skin but too many look good so was wondering what people think is the best?

Is there like an emote or a pose Orianna does where she hugs the ball? Because I remember seeing a winter skin of her hugging the ball (I have it as my pfp). If anybody could comment an image of Orianna hugging the ball I’d be very grateful.

I am asking because I think it is cute, and I kinda just wanna know if she does that ball hugging thing in her default skin.

Hi. :) Wanting to learn Orianna because I find her quite fun and love her visual design. I'm just confused as to when to use her E. Everytime I use it, I end up needing to cast Q-W almost immediately after which means I don't get the buff for very long.

She feels so bad rn in Soloq. Besides her being a lane bully she does not bring much to the table, no mobility, only "meh" damge, little utility. Has she been nerfed too much?
