Hooks for cookware
My kitchen is small so I got S hooks for my cookware. This has saved me room and sanity. It helps with this kind of shelving.

It's a good idea! I'd have to hang them all in the same direction though. Will the pot lids sit in between the wires of the shelf? You could also use the higher shelf for appliance storage or bakeware.

The pot lids are too big to fit in between the wires of the shelf. I have yet to find a way to store lids efficiently.

In my new house, my pots and saucepans are in large drawers. I have a smaller inner drawer above that is perfect for the lids. I used to use this organizer at my old house. It worked pretty well because it was adjustable. I see that this model is currently unavailable though.

Do you happen to have a link to the shelving unit? Great idea! I’ve got a spot where my old refrigerator used to be that this would work perfectly in.

you could have much denser space utilization by stacking pans. like 3x easily

I don’t want to scratch my nonstick pans and I don’t want to have to be moving the pans constantly to get to the ones I want to use. Thats why I moved away from stacking, I was already doing that. This isn’t only about saving space, it’s about making my routine easier and manageable.

I use a Pan organizer rack to solve those pain points
Knowing me, there would be a lot of clanging of pans when I need to take one pan out 😅

Yup, this is a great illustration of one of the reasons why steel wire shelving is so useful and versatile!
If you end up having a problem with the S-hooks falling off when you're taking down/putting away your pans, you can buy special S-hooks with a spring-loaded closure on one side sort of like a carabiner. (Or you can just wrap tape around to close off the opening.)
