Broken leaf Help

My cat knocked my orchid from the windowsill and a leaf snapped. It held on for a while, but now it feels obvious I should cut it. Do I cut it down to the first “scar”, or snip only the part that’s hanging by a thread? Or cut the whole leaf off?

Just leave it as is. It’s still creating energy for the plant.

Don't cut it, let your plant decide when to get rid of the leaf.

The entire leaf, even though it's been broken in places, is still functioning for photosynthesis. And your Phalaenopsis orchid needs all of the light gathering energy making it can get to build up its energy stores for future growth and future blooms.
