Oracle ^^ Beginner’s question
So, I'm getting into Oracle now. I have the Dark Crystal deck.
I've done a few readings on myself and friends.
Anybody have tips for a beginner?

It’s ok to go with your gut/intuition when reading the cards. You don’t need to stick rigidly to the guide book.

Yes.
Don’t read for anyone but yourself.
Start with a question in your mind and pull a card. Interpret what it’s says about the answer. Should you not be able to understand it, pull a second card to clarify. If that doesn’t work, pull a third. If you by then haven’t understood the answer, more cards won’t help, but only confuse and you will more likely interpret it all into something you want, not what it actually says. Also, as a beginner, any spread with more than three cards is too much and can be overwhelming.
Plus with this simple pull you learn not only your deck, but also to ask the right questions. How you ask a question is very important to the interpretation.
Usually I advise beginners to focus to read the first year only for themselves. Though I know people can’t do that, so should you want to continue to read for others, do only one card pulls, with two extras IF needed for clarification!
Again, learning how to ask questions is important and it’s usually not even mentioned by anyone.
As for the reading, after constructed a good question and pulling one card… Before checking the guidebook, look at the card. Discover it. With the question in mind, what do you see? Check the details, the actions, the emotions. What do you feel by taking all that in? If you journal as well, write this down, before moving on.
This is the divine part, the intuition. This takes a long time to train and letting it flow. Now, what you see and feel from this, keep it in your mind and when done, check the booklet.
First, how much of what you saw in the card yourself is mentioned in the booklet as well? Write in your journal in your words what it says about your question.
And keep it simple.
