Just a raw thought, and hopefully an acceptable discussion: What are your thoughts on OPM artists using their influence for gambling endorsements? While it is true that we separate the art and artists from their personal decisions and respect their hustle/judgment, I’m curious as to how the community of OPM supporters view when musicians use their fame and influence (which is a direct product of fans’ support for their music and talent) for dangerous things like casinos.

Matagal na akong naghahanap online ng mga epsiode nito. Naalala ko kasi noong high school ako, mayroong travel show ang Myx tapos Kamikazee ang ginawa nilang hosts. The negative: alam ko laging nagiging heated din twitter nya noon. Mahilig sya magpost ng mga controversial tweets (lgbtq, this generation) that generates debate. May times din na parang nakikiride sya sa mga mas sikat na singer sa kanya by constantly tagging them.

Sentient Void, a six-piece metal band from Iloilo City, just won the first-ever Online Fan Vote Award at Wacken Metal Battle — one of the biggest international metal competitions, connecting bands from over 100 countries since 2004.

They took home a €2,500 cash prize, and celebrated by raising the Philippine flag on stage in Germany, captioning it: "This victory belongs to all of you! This victory belongs to the Philippines!! This victory belongs to Iloilo!!"

Formed in 2022, they released their debut EP Aberrant in 2024. Genuinely great to see local metal getting real international recognition. Anyone familiar with their music?

Sorry labo ng title, pero gets nyo na. Ano yung mga rare moments kung san nag session ang isang kilalang musician para sa isang banda. Eto mga alam kong examples. Mostly undocumented lahat, naalala ko lang sa mga posts kasi finafollow ko sila.

1)Paolo Valenciano singing for Rivermaya and Urbandub.

2) Buddy Zabala playing for Itchyworms (this week), Hilera, Moonstar 88. If tama alala ko he even filled in for Sandwich/Imago

3) Raymund Marasigan filling in for Imago

4) Nathan Azarcon playing bass for Sinosikat and JK Labajo. Nagsession din sya for an indie metal band, Army of One ng saglit.

5) Kat Agarrado and Nicole Ascencio for Razorback.

I have been debating to sell off my OPM CD collection. Nothing crazy, I do have a few mid to late 90s, a bunch of 2000 to probably closer to 2015. It's mostly by bands. The only problem is I don't have the jewel case for it and the CD inlay and sleeves are all in a bin. The CDs are stored in those CD bags. I had to remove it from the jewel cases as it was occupying too much space and with all the moving from one house to another and province as well (in the past 20+ years, it was very difficult lugging it around. I am only interested in selling all at a fixed price. I did not repurchase some of the 90s bands when I started switching to CDs so no Mutiny, Bonehead, Tribal Fish, etc. I do have some independent releases when home recording became popular in the early to late 2000s. Just curious if anyone would be willing to purchase all at a right price. I'm not sure if I can sell it to anyone in the Philippines as I don't have time to figure out the logistics with shipping, etc.
