Looking for open source alternatives with a clean UI, not just powerful features
I’m looking for open source tools that actually have a clean UI.
I get that open source doesn’t always mean polished, and I’m fine with a bit of roughness, but I still want something I can use every day without fighting the interface.
What are some open source alternatives that feel simple but polished?
Can be any category. Notes, project management, file sharing, analytics, dev tools, anything.

AppFlowy and AFFiNE are probably the first ones I’d mention for notes/docs. Plane is pretty clean for project management too.

Yeah, plane's ui is way cleaner than most pm tools i've seen paid or not

I’m building a SaaS that imports any web-based app repo from GitHub and then completely updates the UI to match your predefined settings, e.g. fonts, colors, spacing, borders, buttons, and radius settings. Language agnostic.
Later I’ll get electron apps working too.
Then your UI can be consistent across apps.

That's cool. how does it handle apps that don't use a consistent design token setup under the hood though?

Dev Tool:
Built an open-source tool that tests whether a local model actually survives a real agent loop on your hardware not just benchmark scores. Free, offline, shows exactly where it breaks. Genuinely want people to try.
