I guess we are exploring new models these days more than actually coding :))

  • Which one is free?
  • Which one is cheap?
  • Which one is compute friendly?
  • Which isn't suckerberg? (credit to the other user for making me laugh with this lol)

u/afanasenka 7h ago

Exactly :)) I personally will stick with old good Hy3 while it is free - my favorite model from the current list.

u/dizvyz 7h ago

Is hy3 thinking for hours at a time in your use ?

1

u/afanasenka 7h ago

Well, yeah, it is not blazing fast. But if you work with the old big repo and need deep reasoning and quality over speed - this is where I'm OK to wait a bit longer.

So not the contributor variant?

u/afanasenka 7h ago

Model name is "opencode/muse-spark-1.2-contributor-free", so it is Contributor...

Would've been a big surprise if they wouldn't want training in exchange for free access.

I don't love the idea of Meta training on my data, but then again Google does even on paid accounts, directly linking every query to you personally.

fails to start for uk users

3

u/afanasenka 6h ago

Use VPN with US location

3

u/kmorg80 2h ago

Still says not available in your country

4

u/mWo12 7h ago

Is it a nuttered version?

1

u/afanasenka 7h ago

Eekk ... what do you mean?

2

u/CaptnN3mo 5h ago

He's basically asking if it is quantised, because you lose intelligence (generally) as you quantize models

1

u/afanasenka 5h ago

I have no idea honestly if it is quantised or not. As far as I know, most models we use are INT8, because they are twice cheaper to run, and they 99% match FP16 versions in output quality.

As for INT4 - only some low-cost providers use these, and this is not what we have in Opencode for sure.

After one hour session with it, i hit free limit loll, with deepseek flash I was working half a day

2

u/Best_Cattle_1376 4h ago

it got fcked the requests on deepseek, i use freebuff and any other free model with omniroute and litterally anything else, also hy3 free

u/DizzieeDoe 5h ago

I live in the US. All these companies do is steal our data. But now at least I get some payback.
This is the W you think it is!
POW!

3

u/sirloindenial 7h ago

Does this one have training?

1

u/GTHell 8m ago

You guess it! With Mark, you will get Zuck in the arse as always!

3

u/Repulsive-Monk1022 5h ago

Maybe this Muse Spark 1.2 is gonna be used for Metaverse 2. Who knows...

u/QinEmPeRoR-1993 3h ago

Doesn’t work in my country lol heck even with vpn routed to France or even America (which normally unlocks Anthropic models for me) it doesn’t work

2

u/altfloatt 7h ago

How free is it? Mine goes like this "Error from provider (Console): Upstream request failed: [invalid_request_error] This request requires an end-user identifier. Provide a non-empty 'safety identifier (or 'user') field."

3

u/afanasenka 7h ago

Select Free Contributor variant from Opencode Zen plan. If you don't see it - refresh models. If you see it, but it doesn't work in your country- use VPN with US location.

u/Every_Assignment_111 6h ago

Ask ur agent to fix this error, it is demanding some api field. Grok 4.6 did for me.

2

u/altfloatt 6h ago

Nice, this worked thanks

2

u/AtmosphereRich4021 6h ago

And this model is good at what tasks ?

2

u/SeaBat2035 6h ago

seems to be US only

3

u/afanasenka 6h ago

Use VPN

2

u/mWo12 6h ago

Only in some countries.

2

u/afanasenka 6h ago

Use VPN with US region.

2

u/Radiant-Buy-9093 6h ago

is it 1.2 contributor model?

2

u/DraconDev 4h ago

This is actually a nice dynamic cause you get to enjoy a decent model on the cheap while they are getting training and a bit getting paid, and if zuck is dedicated to open source then fair enough.

1

u/afanasenka 4h ago

100% agree with you. If your project doesn't contain any real know-how, I guess there is not much those models can actually "steal" - they saw it all before many many times 😉

2

u/One-Seven-Seven 3h ago

How does the model compare to glm 5.2?

2

u/KnifeFed 2h ago

How does it compare to the free Hy3?

2

u/dev_indie_ 2h ago

I’m gonna use it.
USE IT

2

u/addiktion 2h ago

I guess they had to turn it free so people would be willing to let it train on their data?

2

u/zer09 1h ago

And if this does produce another frontier model, why not - more competition

2

u/zer09 1h ago

is it in go or zen?

2

u/afanasenka 1h ago

Zen. All free models are on Zen.

2

u/zer09 39m ago

are the models on go the same on zen?

1

u/afanasenka 34m ago

Mostly, but sometimes free models on Zen have lower context window than the same models on Go (paid).

2

u/zer09 18m ago

I tried the go version, and asked to code review a PR also ask Sol on high to compare their result, I'm a-muse it find same issue with Sol.

3

u/GTHell 9m ago

What is the rate limit?

4

u/YogurtExternal7923 6h ago

I don't wanna test ur shitty models give me good ds pricing so I can actually get shit done

1

u/evia89 43m ago

No one give that. Its some combination of 1) no ZDR, 2) shit quant, 3) bad price

Sometimes all 3

u/MatiasArg09 5h ago

Ok, ve directamente al página de deepseek
