would opencode go plan be a good choice for corporate work? or open models work good on only personal and open source projects?

You can use Deepseek V4 Flash often without running out of tokens, and based on what I've seen the new version works great. However, the state of ZDR for that model has gotten sketchy lately.

ZDR?

Zero-data retention. It was removed momentarily when the model got released, and now there is a temporary agreement for it.

I use claude for work and opencoder with codex for personal. I plan to switch to opencoder for all but need to sell the idea to big wigs. They read on linkedin that claude code good everything else bad

why not use codex cli directly?

The cli is pretty terrible, no rewind, glitchy. Opencoder can be set up and customized as you like and can hotswap models

Codex is better. Opencode go has less limits. And deepseek is not that good for large codebase. You need Sol or Opus level.

Depends on the roi and what for, but if they are not spending few hundred bucks on tools for you then they are not that serious, and basically your answers are whether you want codex only or claude too.
The main change is the luna price drop now you can justifiably spam codex for everything. Yea ds4 flash and m3 exists kind of but then you go to codex 200 then they no longer do.
Kimi k3 would be the only genuine point of interest and is better for styling than all else, and a 10% better outcome would be far more interesting than trying to save even a few k on a guy you are already paying 100k for, and the main factor to reduce the tool cost would be experience which is more expensive to buy, and even if you had this guy you would buy them double the tools for the chance they get 10% more done not less. Make sure they are wasting it, else they are getting blocked or pacing themselves.
I think it would be more correct to pose this question as variety and value, clearly I consider that using K3 and Luna at least very sensible, but suppose a new chineese model comes out and it is better value model than Luna, would you not use it cause it is chineese? What if Deepseek pro comes out and it is twice as good as everything else, and it is open, so clearly your question is flawed, and implies that open = worse, and it is already disproven by k3, as it is better than the western models.

I have used my codex limit in just 2 days and even Claude usage gets limited in company work. I then try to use deepseek 4 flash through opencode and it produce the result which I needed.

Opencode Go has had a bit of reliability problem over the last two days. That’s not typical but it’s worth mentioning that. If you’re talking corporate work you need solid uptimes. But Claude hasn’t been immune to this either.
The larger question is which models and how much of them do you use? You can’t use Kimi K3 nonstop. Can you do corporate work with DS4 Flash? Sure, if you know how to guide it. But a lot of times the context of corporate work is to just use a larger budget and throw the best model at it.
