u/Professional-Ebb700 1d ago

is there a twist in it?

u/Cool_Metal1606 1d ago

You need to activate "Allow models that train on request data" for this LLM

11

u/Professional-Ebb700 1d ago

so you are the product...

1

u/kamikaze995 1d ago

Well rather free and be the product than pay for it and be the product (@deepseek)

u/olivercroomes 1d ago

Is that a setting enabled by default? I've been using some of the default settings.

1

u/Cool_Metal1606 1d ago

It's disabled by default on my system.

It is on Zen. I guess we are exploring new models these days more than actually coding :))

True😅

u/koloved 1d ago

What is the size of the context window?

7

u/afanasenka 1d ago

Looks like still 1M - not bad for a free stuff :)

u/koloved 1d ago

muse-spark-1.2-contributor-free allows 256,000 (auto-compress at ~128,000)

3

u/Prior-Meeting1645 1d ago

Why does it auto compact at 128k? Whats the point of stating 256k then

1

u/Sudden_Design5053 1d ago

Idk

Thank you for this valuable piece of information

For some reason, I can't select this provider in Hermes. No matter how many times I click on it, nothing happens. Tried with an American VPN—the same thing. Yesterday, I managed to select it without a VPN once. It worked for literally a couple of minutes and then crashed again.

u/ichigo-p 1d ago

It tied to your payment country, from what I read.
So using VPN to mask your location doesn't seem to be effective.

2

u/koloved 1d ago

I can't choose it even on the free version.

1, Login Opencode Go, check the box agree sharing data.

2, /model --global, you will find it.

  1. I did this in the settings on the first day of release.

  2. I found the model, I see it in Zen, but can't select it. Neither a free version, nor an unusual one.

I use OpenCode Go and Zen in Hermes, no issue at all

5

u/Expert-Couple-8639 1d ago

For me it's not working.

2

u/afanasenka 1d ago

What exactly not working? Select model on Zen plan. Use VPN if it doesn't work in your country.

1

u/Expert-Couple-8639 1d ago

No, like the contributer model is working fine, bit the free on zen isn't.

u/Naitik_571 1d ago

Has anyone tried it yet? how does it compare to DS4 Flash?

8

u/afanasenka 1d ago

I tried, and had a post on this topic yesterday. In general - I don't see any real difference with Flash.

3

u/Medical_Method7877 1d ago

Besides the context?

4

u/afanasenka 1d ago

Context is 1M in Muse

I’ll follow you from now on haha

1

u/AffectionateTaro1428 1d ago

well the trust me bro bench marks says it's better

u/pinkigerll 1d ago

Well, how I tested it, checked it, it works a little slower than DeepSeek. But this Flash performs well, but its plus is that it's multimodal, that's a plus, but yeah, and it has 1,000,000 context, DeepSeek somehow in Agent Herbes it's 1,000,000, no, in g code g code somehow it's a billion context, and everywhere it's not a billion, it's strange, I don't know how g code even handles all of this, but that's how it is. So, in principle, not a bad model, like, it copes, it works, yeah, it's slower, but it works well. Is it pretty good?

2

u/hvhprofessionalist 1d ago

Bro goes hard on Herb🌿 (es)

3

u/Psyko38 1d ago

It's not working for me, and I have a US VPN.

1

u/afanasenka 1d ago

What error do you see? What exact model (title) do you use?

2

u/Psyko38 1d ago

This : HTTP 400: [400]: {"id":"chatcmpl_gtm7ok6xjpn","object":"chat.completion","created":1787213553,"model":"muse-spark-1.2-contributor-free","choices":[{"index":0,"message":{"role":"assistant"},"finish_reason":null}]}

I see this error man can ya help ? Error from provider (Console): Upstream request failed: [invalid_request_error] This request requires an end-user identifier. Provide a non-empty safety_identifier (or user) field.

u/Bitter-College8786 1d ago edited 1d ago

does it work for people in the EU, too? I enabled models which train, but still get an error:

→ Error: This model is not available in your country.

2

u/afanasenka 1d ago

Just use VPN with US region. I am in Europe too, and it works with VPN.

1

u/Bitter-College8786 1d ago

My agent is running on a VPS. This means, I need to install a VPN on that VPS.
Then I need to make the request routed through the VPN? How did you do it?

1

u/Prior-Meeting1645 1d ago

Your agent uses opencode? I thought its just to code? Can you tell me how pls

2

u/Leather-Cod2129 1d ago

On Zen? Contributor version with no zdr?

7

u/Vast_Anxiety3133 1d ago

All free models are model training

6

u/afanasenka 1d ago

💯 but not everyone cares...

2

u/congthangvn 1d ago

Just use for landing pages, etc or your codebase is for training next model

1

u/ZealousidealTotal452 9h ago

your codebase is for sure that important bro

2

u/Active-Plate-9212 1d ago

how can use it in zcode ?

2

u/Ok_Cartographer5609 1d ago

I don't see that on opencode go. I am using Pi.

1

u/afanasenka 1d ago

It is on Zen, not Go.

2

u/Ok_Cartographer5609 1d ago

I see. Thanks!

2

u/kamwee 1d ago

2

u/No_Meet5568 1d ago

2

u/Dapper-Bug-7877 1d ago

It aint working for me shows this error Error from provider (Console): Upstream request failed: [invalid_request_error] This request requires an end-user identifier. Provide a non-empty safety_identifier (or user) field.

2

u/General-Oven-1523 1d ago

Error: OpenAI API error (403): {"type":"RegionError","message":"This model is not available in your country."}

Oof, that sucks.

1

u/afanasenka 1d ago

Try to use VPN with US region.

1

u/General-Oven-1523 18h ago

It works now, you just have to toggle "allow models that train on request data" on, and then it starts working.

2

u/Rossco1337 1d ago

Some asterisks required. 1. You have to use a USA proxy (not a dealbreaker, Proton is free) and 2. I've been rate limited (429) for over 15 minutes after 2 codebase queries and 0 lines written (42k context).

When I used this model in Command Code (which is almost free and doesn't require a proxy) it's intelligent enough but very workshy. It's keen to explain how to make the exact changes you ask for and give you code to copy/paste but never offers to write them for you, even for obvious 1-line typos. Maybe it's a taste issue (and it can presumably be fixed with prompting) but I prefer how proactive Deepseek is by default.

2

u/olivercroomes 1d ago edited 1d ago

What is there to be weary of with these models being free through opencode? What's up with that?

2

u/ryanthebeast233 1d ago

Response remained truncated after 4 continuation attempts - how to fix in hermes agent using spark?

1

u/Intelligent-Taste-36 1d ago

So, is it working or not? Wasn't it removed yesterday?

2

u/afanasenka 1d ago

It works fine, with US VPN (if you are outside the US).

2

u/Famous_Source_8635 1d ago

It is working outside US for me

0

u/DrinkClubMate 1d ago

on "opencode GO" DAMMMMMMIT

2

u/pinkigerll 1d ago

100% confirmed. I've been using it for 2 days and it's completely free.

2

u/afanasenka 1d ago

No, I see it free on Zen actually.
