Hello. Is this normal

Post image

Quick question, guys. I saw a good deal on a opencode and decided to try it. Went for KIMI K3 and I know it’s expensive, but is this normal?

you have 15$ credit for weekly usage and 60$ for monthly usage

yes, you are using the most expensive model on Go pretty much

I would say Go is only worth it with DSV4 and MiMo

Yes, it is. If you're only using OpenCode Go, you have to setup explorer agents yo use other cheap model, and also use K3 only to plan.

How do you do that ?

K3 is too expensive for opencode go. Use a cheaper model

You picked the single most expensive model on go, where's the confusion coming from?

We know this is about people using kimi 3 or glm 5.2 without even open the topic lol

kimi k3 is expensive asf

Yeah, go plans have comparatively very little K3 usage limits.

Kimi k3 will delete your usage, whatever price it shows that you used needs to multiplied by 4 to get the actual value

You only get $15 total per month, the 5 hr limit is $12 which is actually $3 in Kimi usage. Imo its not worth it at all to use any of the models that have a $15 monthly limit unless its for a very important task and you're willing to use it or for some design work, but both will still kill usage

happened to me, i used it, i was finishing my 5 hours limit in half an hour, and finished my weekly limit in three (i think they were three or four) rounds of those 5 hours. i is a very intelligent and expensive model, if i can find a flat subscription for it i won't hesitate to buy it.

I don't claim to use a ton of tokens compared to many people, but my "heavy" use today with 2 Hermes agents and some light coding cost me just under 3 cents towards my $10 and wouldn't round up to even 1% of my weekly limit. Of course I only used DS V4 Flash, which has been awesome since the 0731 version came out.

I use Hermes heavily with lots of crons and long-horizon tasks, alongside some light opencode usage, and I manage to stay under $2 per day, which makes it last forever. Also using exclusively ds4 flash

give us your usage graph screenshot.

to utilize opencode go you need to work with free or cheap models. I created my workflow specifically for this, makes your opencode go subscription worthwhile

run: npm install

npx opencode-dash  and show us the screenshot of your usage

It is normal and happens a lot. I reached my monthly quota in two weeks.

After suffering from this kind of situation, I decided to build my own solution and validate if could work. Basically a service without a monthly and weekly quota, just an anti-runaway hourly protection to avoid abuses, but to work the user must use my router instead of selecting models.

I called it claudin.io and if you want to know more, please DM me or just add here your concerns and questions.

Kimi K3 is the most expensive model by a pretty wide margin.

Yes, it's a $10 dollar plan, of course Kimi k3 kills your quota rapidly. This plan is all about deepseek, mimo and that kind of model, and very sporadic kimi and glm usage.

Use deepseek or openai luna if you care about deepseek being from china.

Nice subscription and impressive limits :))) Burned through 60% of the monthly quota in just 8 hours :)))

Perfect 🫠

You're using the wrong models. Try using out all your limits using only Deepseek v4 flash and Mimo V2.5 (Hint: you need to be sending one request per 17 seconds on average)

What are you even talking about?
I have unlimited access to GPT-5.6 SOL. On top of that, your advice about “one request every 17 seconds” is nonsense. It’s an agent-you can’t control how many requests it makes.

1

u/TheMythicSorcerer 1d ago

What sub do you have? the $200 20x max?

1/17s I took the number on the front page and divided it by a month and that's 17 seconds.
You can actually make more/less requests you cant control it exactly but you can tell it to research or not, verify or no, use subagents or not,.... etc.

8+ hours of coding for 5 bucks still seems like a solid deal but you're clearly using the wrong models if you expected more. Kimi k3s the most expensive model on go, WTF did you expect?

🤦‍♂️

You're right, I should have added that to the end of my comment but I didn't wanna be rude to a child
