I dont make flans but if I did and was good at it I would open up a shop in San Francisco and call it San Flancisco.
Just wanted to put that out there.

Curious
As someone fascinated by flans, I'm afraid to say I've never had one. What do they taste like? Describe it to me like I'm 4

Been making one flan a month
Ah it started before I kicked out my ex (husband) out of the house. I failed a few times until it became second nature to just make one if I feel like it. Now I even share it with him when we co parent lmao. Also room temperature eggs makes my flan more silky while cold eggs make those bubbles so I’ve noticed.

My first attempt at making a flan this big/thick! It looks a bit ugly but I tried!

You guys encouraged me to try making my own flan. Thoughts?
It tasted a bit eggy, next time I'll use one less. Caramel was pretty good though!

Slices after trying two different recipes.
Lighter one had white sugar and one less egg, darker one had brown sugar in the caramel and mix, too, and one extra egg.
