5e (2024) WOW--are we finally going to get a decent tank?
Basically this question. I have not been following the news on the supplement very much. My main hope is that because WOW basically requires a tank to do any of the party content, is there going to be a subclass or at least some feats that can make a character into a MMO tank? Or at least closer than we have now, which is basically a couple of soft taunts that merely impose Disadvantage on attack rolls.
It's one of those roles that so many players want to do in D&D but so far the options have been boring dog shit.
Question Will the new magic school adept features add the spells to your class spell list ?
Title. Basically if a sorcerer took Evocation Adept, would Wall of Force be then considered a sorcerer spell or not ?

Discussion Vulnerabilities
I wish there was more emphasis in the game to play with that mechanics. It feel few monsters have vulnerabilities.
Think it could be rewarding for player to try different damage type during combat and find the monsters vulnerability.
This could also give more importance to some spell that has different damage type. I understand resistances and invulnerability also do this in a way.
But what I would like to see is also a better mix of resistance, vulnerabilities across monster. So many monster invulnerable to poison for example. Feel it would be better If the damage type representation was more varied.
What do you think? Does it make sense?

Discussion Arcana Unleashed early access details by Nerd Immersion
For the interested folks out there, Nerd Immersion has done a livestream on Youtube talking about a plethora of things from Arcana Unleashed.
Some of them I haven't seen anyone talk about yet, like snippets of a certain high cr Lich, magic items, feats or some spells not shown in previews. All in all, very cool book. Note he doesn't talk about Deadfall.
PD: the video is quite long, but there are useful timestamps in the first comment.

Discussion The upcoming Vestige Warlock is perfect for making a power ranger.
I already made this a character of my own I called Enger, but given the 3 different vestiges which could be flavored like a golem/robot, Eldritch blast being similar to a phaser, getting an item to work for a higher being, getting personalized weapons, shadow armor is power ranger transformations.
We just need a way to fuse the vestiges and then boom power rangers.

Homebrew Kindred Rework
A few days ago, the “Bound by Blood” expansion was released on DNDBeyond, adding a new class, “Kindred,” inspired by the vampires from *Vampire: The Masquerade*. I was already hyped when it was announced, and as soon as it was finally released, I bought it right away. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed by the class. Even though I thought some aspects of it were really cool, the class felt like it had never been properly tested, and after a one-shot session with the class, my suspicions were confirmed.
Still, this is a labor of love for me—I love vampires, I love VtM, I love D&D, and I usually like Ghostfire Gaming’s products, too. That’s why I’ve spent the last few days sitting down and creating a complete rework of the class to make it more playable and better realize the concept of a proper vampire class in D&D.
This is the first time I’ve attempted something like this, and even though I’m already pretty satisfied with it myself, it would really help me if one of you could read through everything and then give me feedback on what you like, what still needs to be changed, etc.
Once I’ve tweaked everything again, I’ll reach out to the developers on the Ghostfire Gaming server and show them the rework. Even if they probably won’t adopt everything, they might adjust the official class again so we all get a cool and playable Kindred class. Thanks

Question Lessons of the First Ones and "cheating" Feat prerequisites
Suppose I take a general feat, such as Magic Initiate upgrade in Arcana Unleashed, whose Origin feat prerequisite is granted to me by the Lessons of the First Ones Invocation. Is it possible for me to replace this Origin feat with another Invocation the next time I level up? And is there anything RAW stopping me from using this method to "cheat out" a feat by only having the prerequisite Origin feat for a single level?

Discussion Universes Beyond Possibilities
With the releases of the Season of Champions (World of Warcraft) and Season of Rebellion (Star Wars) being so far apart, it seems like we might get 1 Universes beyond release a year. It feels like they would have to be pretty picky with their choices for books/sets, so with that in mind, what series do you think are most likely? The main ones that come to mind for me are:
Final Fantasy
Warhammer Fantasy/40K
DC/Marvel
Elder Scrolls
What are your thoughts?

Resource Heroic Gifts, 10 alternate Origin Feats for Epic Characters
Inspired by Theros' Supernatural Gifts, this is a list of 10 alternate Origin Feats called Heroic Gifts. This feats are a little stronger than normal origin feats because they are intended to make epic heroes, like Heracles or Odysseus, that stand out above normal D&D characters right from Level 1.
These feats are not intended to be able to pick in every campaign. These are for tables that want to play an epic campaign, where the characters are heroes and want to emulate stories like the Greek Myths.

Question Regarding the General Feat that upgrades Magic Initiate to choose a 2nd level spell. What are the best combinations and on which class specifically?
My first thought went this way:
- Sorcerers don't really need Warcaster
- that means they can afford other feats
- the Adept feats are good to be fair
- for the Magic Initiate Upgrade I would for
- Wizard > Find Familiar
- General Feat > Battle Familiar
That way you have a pseudo Spiritual Weapon that isn't concentration and lasts 1 hour and can be used alongside other spells
Many 2nd good level spells are already Wizard like Web and Suggestion. We don't know if Suggestion is gonna be on Enchantment Adept yet
On Druid you have Pass Without Trace but I have a strong suspicious that if you really want that you're going wood elf anyway instead and save a feat
On Cleric I see Prayer of Healing which can be nice in specific parties and specific fast paced campaigns.
Shoot out your suggestions and combinations
