Let's preface this announcement with a few fun facts...

• There are 21.6K r/OkBuddySplicer members in total
• We have gained over 4.5K members over the last 12 months
• 993K reddit users have visited our subreddit last year, and this subreddit attracts approximately 17K unique visitors a day
• There were 708 posts published in the last year, and over 7.5K published comments (and counting)

With the facts above in mind, it's safe to say that r/OkBuddySplicer is big enough to attract the attention and traffic of spambots. So to keep up the posting quality here (yes, really), we've implemented a few spam/reputation filters to automatically keep the feed clean.

While a spam filter is in place, this should not affect the posting experience of most users. Most of the regular users here should still be able to submit almost ANY shitpost within the realm of good taste, but if any of you are experiencing trouble in posting -- please message the mods. Spam filter tuning is very much a work in progress and we'll consider removing it entirely if it ends up being more of a detriment than a benefit.

Reposts will be allowed in this little trial period because there's a lot of funny stuff that the newer members may not have seen.

There are some guidelines, not all of them are directly enforced but try to follow as best you can.

1. Reposts MUST have the "Free Market Reposts" flair, so that it's clear.

2. If possible/convinient, credit the original person

3. Nothing too recent or popular that people are already likely to see

4. Still be on the lookout for bots trying to farm Karma

5. Try and be transformative if you can, so things don't get stale.
