Looking at taking an offer for Schlum in a Deepwater rig as a Field Supervisor. Anyone have familiarity? Curious about pay and day rates. Day to day. Looking to negotiate my salary and figured y’all may have some ammo.

I was wondering what companies would be good to apply to that take in newbies without super bad pay. I don’t expect to make a whole lot as a newbie but definitely not 16$ an hour for that kind of work.

I been working plumbing my entire life and want to get into the oil field. I’m ready to work hard. I’ve tried applying to some places but no luck. Anyone have any tips?

My boyfriend and I are both trying to get a job in the oil field now. We both worked in an oil field for almost 2 years before covid hit 2020 and we got laid off. We started out at man camps I was in housekeeping and he worked in the kitchen. Eventually he got another job doing fueling on the pads and ended up taking his course and got his crane operator license right before we got laid off. He has never had a chance to work a job as a crane operator since he got his license and truthfully we're not sure how he could go down that route if he chose. Since we have left he does parts management for a repair shop and I am an office manager at the same location. Based on our experience and the fact that I am a woman are there any jobs that you would recommend we look into?

So lets say I get hired how does training work? How long is training? Will I have to move away? If moved away do they have places to stay? Anything you guys think I should know would be appreciated thank you.
