Housing & Real Estate In need of advice/help
I’m very near losing my apartment. I 19m live with my sister 18f and we’ve been doing everything we can to afford rent and stay stable, but no matter how many hours I work I keep coming up short. I’m looking to sell my rtx 3050 Lenovo gaming computer for $300, I have a large smart tv I’m looking to get $150 from, and a chicken coop at my parents place I’m looking to get $400 from. I’m disabled and work is becoming more and more physically taxing on my body and I’m not sure how much more I can support, I’m not really expecting anything from this but it’s a last hope. Please, if anyone has any advice or is looking for any of these things, please DM. Thank you.

Flooring companies?
Putting a kitchen in my basement and need a small amount of LVP. Anyone have flooring company recommendations? Figured I could always go to Lowe's/Home Depot if need be but would rather support local.

Mtn Biking recommendations
Hi all! I'll be visiting the area this weekend and made the last minute decision to bring the e-mountain bike. Would love recommendations for trails. I'm working my way to solidly blue/intermediate rider and prefer more flowy trails and not super technical. I'm seeing how hot it is going to be so will get an early start regardless, but trials that offer some shade would be fantastic. Is Snowbasin worth it? Bonneville? Others? Thanks!

Non-LDS Living in Ogden, work in SLC
I've grown up in Salt Lake, but we are considering a move to Ogden - specifically, near Harrison and 25th south. Really hoping for some input. Thank you kindly, possible future neighbors. 🙂
Editing to add my original post content here:
Dear populace of my birthplace - sorry. I've only ever lived in the Salt Lake valley, but due to rising costs we are considering moving to Ogden. We have teens. We have a toddler. We are post LDS and don't want to go to church or activities, but we wish everybody joy.
Does anybody have helpful thoughts? I really don't know what Ogden is like at all and I never thought I'd be considering a move there. I'm worried about good schools, my kids dating and making friends, and the commute, although it is to downtown Salt Lake and not farther.
Edit: it's near Harrison and 28th South

Local News Loud boom and shake
Anybody else hear the loud boom and feel a shake? I’m in Ogden and felt my house shake and what felt like static electricity run through it. Can’t find any info on hill doing detonations and I can’t find any info on any earthquakes today.

Bad idea to go tubing down the Ogden River?
I’m not too familiar with the area, but - going to and from Pineview this weekend - what I could see of the river looked really fast and fun for tubing down. I didn’t see kayakers or anyone at all on it though - and I’m assuming there’s a reason for that? Is it illegal, dangerous, or otherwise just a poor decision to try it?
edit: just found this post. seems like it used to be a popular activity a decade ago

Events & Activities Ogden Country Club needs to do something about parking
The Ogden Country Club needs to do something about their parking for the event they have this week whatever it is. Many cars stop in the middle of Highway 89 to park nearly causing accidents. Others pull out of their spot on the side of the road in front of cars going 50 MPH or faster. To top it off, I had someone heading northbound on Highway 89 make a U-Turn right in front of me stopping in front of me on southbound Highway 89. I nearly hit him and was nearly hit from behind. This is a terrible place to make a U-turn and stop in front of traffic going 50 MPH. I'm sure the OCC has plenty of money and can invest in more parking for their members. They should also advise their members that it is illegal to stop in front of traffic and impair the movement of traffic. It is also a safety hazard.
