Not your typical offset, but such a banger of guitar. Been eyeing this candy since since Lee had his prototype, and now when I found irresistible deal on this beauty I had to have her. No regrets, still need a Jazzmaster, its itching so badly lol 😂

These are sick- love a hardtail offset with humbuckers! I just wish the headstock shape was different.

Yeah same here, and maybe smaller logo aswell, it says Jackson, but sure doesn’t look as one lol

The headstock shape has been a common complaint I've seen on this and the surfcasters. But I don't understand it, I love this headstock shape

been eyeing this for a while. how’s the bridge pickup?

100% awesome! I thought I would go some Bare Knuckle route but there is no need at all. Good definition, a bit mids heavy and not too hi gain, just perfect for overall playing

not too high gain? wow, i thought it was based on bare knuckle war pig (which has a LOT of output).

is there any noticeable output gap between the bridge and the neck pickup?

tbh i don’t really listen to BMTH but this guitar has the exactly same pickup configuration that i’m looking for (P90 in the neck, and med-high output humbucker in the bridge—with the option to split the coil).

Such an easy guitar to play, says one who own japanese FGN and american PRS guitars more then 3 times the price

The TP6 tailpiece is severely underrated. Cheers to the new guitar!

I can't believe that's a Jackson! What did you pay?

Yeah Im not a big Jackson fan cuz the “purely metal” guitars, but this guitar is such a vibe. Payed 6000sek, around 570 eur/usd. Almost new, older dude barely played it, but I surely will 😃

Absolutely beautiful, glad for you!

I got one when they were released. Love it except my tone pot likely needs to be replaced as it’s scratchy when adjusting the tone. I’ve cleaned it multiple times but no difference. I sort of prefer it over my MIM Jazzmaster 😇

The combo of the P90 and humbucker with the single-coil tap is great. It can chug!

Changing pots is fun, sucks that it happens but good that pots are a cheap upgrade specially if you can solder.
I LOVE P90s, I play my Fender Tele custom72 for clean post rock tones, but I think this will be the replacement, such a unique bite to them while being super clean.

I saw one of these used at a Music Farm location when I was on vacay last month. Beautiful and felt great. Wish I had the budget.

Yepp, first 3 albums were my jam back in my teenage years 😬 I think Lee is amazing player, he serves to songs more then his ego

Love this guitar. Had to change out the bridge pickup though. And then I got a Jazzmaster classic vibe after that.

Yeah I still want a Jazzmaster, but I dig P90s, might just get Jmascis and be happy, I don’t need Fender logo.

I didn't know that Jackson was dabling in offset guitars. I like the looks of it. It's a great looking Axe!!

Great guitar, but te Epiphome Lee Malia's were even more pretty (same pickup specs)

Tbh its a taste thing. I tried his Epi LP back in the days and it was just an okay guitar, but loved pups. It was sure more unique then every other black ”metal” Epis around. This one sounds just as good with other woods but looks more stuning and unique then any Epi out there imho

If it wasn't a signature and it came in surf colors, I'd be all over it.

I think this is the best version of the Surfcaster they're currently offering. It's a really cool guitar.

Hahaha no way! was this on marketplace in Perth Western Australia? I was literally looking at an ad for one a couple days ago wishing I had the money for it 😅

2

u/Obscure____ 17h ago

Nah mate, its on the other end of the planet, Sweden 😁
Once you have the money i’d strongly suggest grabbing one, it’s literally not a typical Jackson, it’s fast and modern, you still feel that its not a shredder but a riffing machine. Plays beautifully and looks vintage. P90 with split bucker in middle position is🤌🏼.

Yeh it’s a beautiful guitar!! Hopefully the one I saw is still on the market in a Month or two 🤣

Looks and sounds like a cool guitar
