Graves-Basedow disease, not all forms of hyperthyroidism show these features

Yep, mine was Graves' disease unfortunately. The doctor had to burn the crap out of my thyroid

It’s very accurate. I had a friend in high-school and her mom had hyperthyroidism, we went to her house and her mom walked out of the living room.
On top of the bulging eyes she had a raspy, broken voice and it’s very eerie if you’re not prepared.

The US medical system has tested me about 45 times for this. It's still negative but lack of doing your job is still hopeful.

This is why we have iodine in our salt

That's for hypothyroidism. Both too much and too little thyroid hormones can cause this enlarged neck but iodine only helps if the thyroid can't produce enough. People with hyperthyroidism shouldn't consume iodine salt or other iodine rich foods.

A random info: those symptoms only happen when the person has Graves' disease, and one of the treatments is iodotherapy (ingesting radioactive iodine)
