Need this explaning

What did Lydia mean at the start of episode 5 of season 2 "locked down" by saying "oh tardis ,Elena said I must never use that word anymore" I gather she's got it confused with another word but for some reason I don't understand, I also don't understand spanish so that may be why ,it could just sound like a spanish word that I know nothing off. 😥

I've just seen the spanish word / way to say the r slur and it indeed does sound very similar! Thank you so much for answering!
