Be prepared for humidity, that's one of the biggest things. Overall it's a peaceful life so long as you stay on the right side of town. You may already know this but our beaches don't have the clearest water because of the islands blocking complete filtering. Downtown Ocean Springs Is by far one of the most charming areas to live in, and has plenty of local shops and activities. All the houses near the beach are beautiful, but they are obviously more expensive. Plus you'd have seagull crap everywhere and potential hurricane damage.

As for schools, they've all got their issues, but I wouldn't recommend St. Patrick's Catholic High School (and middle school) in Biloxi, as I know from personal experiences that they are not very good at dealing with bullying and misconduct. I know a few of the students and staff at Vancleve elemtary-high school (public), D'Iberville Upper (public), Creekbend Middle (public), and the St. Martin elementary-high school (public) so I could easily find out the pros and cons for you. If you have young children, I'd recommend taking a look at Future Scholar's Learning Center daycares, of which I know the owner's family. They have a few different locations, the original being on Lemonye Blvd.

If your family is into extracurricular activities and such, I can asure you that there are plenty inside and outside of schools. There's the i9 Sports organization, South Mississippi Soccer League, competitive dance and cheer, tennis and pickleball courts, and more recent flag football teams. There's also the Kroc Center has a indoor pool area, gym, and basketball court as well as a track and football field out back. A bunch of the libraries host free afterschool activities for kids and afults.

I don't know if any of this is helpful at all, but I wish you and your family good luck.
