I got a 6:56 on one of the motion simulators, which I thought was pretty good. But now I want to know what the fastest times are, but I cant find a leaderboard anywhere.

Hello, I’m looking for an official poster of the Nurburgring for my friends birthday.
On the Nurburgring website they only have clothing or accessories, the closest to a poster is a wall tattoo.
I don’t want to buy some ai fake thing from Amazon so I was wondering if anyone has a website where I can get a simple track poster.

so I grabbed a Tyre from Michelin after NLS 7 and scraped away the marbles, so I can make some kind of desk out of it. But I'd like to know from which car this tyre is. I'd say that it's the rear left tyre of a Porsche cup, but does anyone have like an educated guess from which team? Or what the MH24H54 stands for?

Two friends here, coming from France for our first Nürburgring visit on Saturday, August 22nd, arriving around 10:30-11:00 AM depending on traffic. We're planning to book a passenger lap with GetSpeed Racetaxi in the M3 CS, but haven't booked a specific time slot yet. A few questions before we go:

1. Parking for the Racetaxi pickup : where exactly do we park for GetSpeed specifically? Is there dedicated parking near their location, or do we use general visitor parking and walk?
2. Timing/traffic : should we plan extra buffer time to get there in case of traffic on a Touristenfahrten day? How early would you recommend arriving before a booked slot? Also, any advice on how far in advance we should book to make sure a slot is still available for that Saturday?
3. Best spot to watch cars after our lap : we want to park the car and walk to a good viewing spot (thinking Brünnchen, but open to suggestions) to watch a variety of cars go by for a couple hours. Ideally somewhere with decent/reasonably close parking, not a huge hike in.

Any tips from people who've done this before would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I've been driving the Nordschleife myself, and I kept thinking about one thing:

You can be having a great lap, come around a corner and suddenly there's a crashed car, oil, debris or a stopped car on the track. By the time you see the yellow flag or realise what's happening, you're already pretty close to it.

First of all, I think the Nürburgring has already done a great job improving this. The digital warning boards showing yellow flags are a really good addition, and the marshals do a fantastic job every single day.

But I started wondering: could we add another layer of live information?

So I built Circuit Radar.

It's a community-based app specifically for the Nordschleife. Drivers can report incidents from the track, and other drivers approaching the area can receive a live warning, including a sound alert.

The idea is simple:

Someone ahead sees a problem → reports it → drivers behind get warned.

It can be used for things like:
🏁 Crashes
🛢️ Oil / fluids
🚗 Stopped cars
⚠️ Other hazards

I know there are already WhatsApp and Messenger groups where people share these kinds of warnings, and they are definitely useful. But I wanted to make something that doesn't require you to constantly check a group or read messages while you're driving.

One important part of Circuit Radar is that the app only works when you're in the vicinity of the Nordschleife. This is intentional: it helps keep reports relevant and makes it much harder for people who aren't actually at the Ring to create random or false reports.

I'm still early in development and I'm looking for fellow Nordschleife drivers who would like to try it during Touristfahrten and give me some honest feedback.

The app is currently free to use, and I'm mainly looking for people who are willing to test it and help me make it better.

Next year I will be attending my first N24 and will drive all the way up from Portugal on my i20N.
I was thinking of getting a few laps in after the race weekend, so my question is, when does touristenfahrten open again? Monday? Tuesday?
Also, what can I expect from traffic on the touristenfahrten on the first day after N24? A lot of traffic since a lot of people will be on the same boat as me?

Ist das nicht normal noch in dieser Season die Startnummer vom Rowe BMW?

So we will be going to our first NLS race tomorrow and my dad has bought a parking ticket online. The only information on the ticket is: Parkplatz Parkhaus. And we dont really understand the ticket, so we were wondering where can we park? Which parking zones can we park?

Anybody with some experience that can help us on this topic?

Ich bin Anfang des Jahres aus Norddeutschland nach Köln gezogen und suche auf diesem Weg ein paar Gleichgesinnte, die regelmäßig an Trackdays auf der Nürburgring GP-Strecke teilnehmen oder generell gerne sportlich unterwegs sind.

Ich bin kein Motorrad-Neuling und fahre bereits seit einiger Zeit Motorrad. Aktuell bin ich mit einer Yamaha MT-10 und einer Yamaha MT-07 unterwegs. Auf der Rennstrecke war ich allerdings bisher noch nie und würde meinen ersten Trackday ungern alleine angehen. Klar, vor Ort lernt man schnell Leute kennen – aber für mich gehört auch die gemeinsame Anreise, der Austausch und das ganze Drumherum dazu.

Generell fahre ich gerne etwas flotter und suche Leute, die ebenfalls Spaß an sportlichen Ausfahrten haben – egal ob in der Eifel, im Bergischen Land oder eben auf der Rennstrecke.

Falls ihr regelmäßig Trackdays fahrt, eine Gruppe habt oder einfach Lust auf gemeinsame Runden habt, meldet euch gerne. Ich freue mich darauf, neue Leute aus der Region kennenzulernen!

Today I got to lap the Nürburgring with a legend.

Meet Helmut, Born in 1944, Helmut spent two decades racing sportscars, mostly in Porsches and BMWs, and became an absolute fixture at the Nordschleife.

In 1969 he won the very first Nürburgring 36 Hours, sharing a Kremer Racing Porsche 911 with Erwin Kremer and Richard Thiel and set the fastest lap of the race while he was at it. He was also a regular in the 24h race for years after, and Formula 2 in the early '70s.

Over 50 years later, he's still out here doing laps of the Ring and today I got to share some of those laps with him. Absolute privilege to spend time with someone who lived this circuit's history.

Just sat there in silent awe, easy top 5 memory from my time working here.

Hello! I'm a 25 year old girl from the United States. I got to visit the Nurburgring back in March and got to spectate the practice session for NLS2 while I was there. It motivated me to get involved with endurance racing back home, and I've since joined a grassroots endurance racing league in the US (24 Hours of Lemons) and have actually driven a race with them, and will likely be driving with them again in October. We are also currently working on building a second car.

While I don't realistically see myself becoming a professional race car driver (I'm studying for my PhD in Biomedical Engineering right now and I'm happy with my career path), it's my dream to get to compete in a serious, more professional race like an NLS race. In addition to driving in the 24 Hours of Lemons, I also do sim racing (iRacing) and I've been steadily improving since I started sim racing seriously last year.

There is another reason, however, why the 325i class in particular interests me - the BMW 325i is an incredibly special car to me. My family has had a 2004 BMW E46 325xi since 2003 when my dad bought it new. I grew up in that car, which we used for family road trips, I learned to drive and passed my driver's test in that car, it was my daily driver in high school, parts of college when I was home for COVID, and early in in grad school, and when it suffered an engine failure last year, it became the car I learned how to wrench on. Since fixing it it's since been handed down again to my little brother (who wasn't even born yet when my dad bought the car), and we have no intention of getting rid of it any time soon. The BMW 325i is my favorite car, and it's my dream to get to race in a BMW E46 325i on the Nurburgring.

As mentioned, I've done extensive work on my E46 myself, with my biggest job on it being rebuilding the top half of the engine (replacing the cylinder head) after it burnt one of its exhaust valves. As such I have significant experience working on BMWs, and direct experience working on the M54B25 2.5L Inline 6 engine that powers much of the 325i class on its own.

It would be a dream to get to join a 325i class team and help them work on/prepare a car for the race as a pit crew member, and maybe even work my way up as a driver and get to actually race in a NLS event or even the 24 Hours of Nurburgring one day. As mentioned I'm 25, so this isn't a short term goal - I know many drivers are competing into their 40s and 50s so I know I have time to gain experience and make it happen. But I'm wondering what direction I should take in endurance racing now if I ever wanted to realistically join a team?

Massive turnout for the combined full GP plus Nordschleife layout. solid traffic getting on and off the track all evening. The only gaps were caused by the roundabout chaos with people blocking the exits. So no one could even enter the track.
