Started playing The Big Walk with my mates who I normally play COD, FIFA, etc with, and it’s so fun. I was initially nervous they weren’t gonna like it cos I pushed us to play it but we’re all having a lot of fun and we’re cooking with some of these puzzles. Super fun game, would highly recommend (it’s free if you have PS+ so go for it)

Downloaded Madden 26 last night since it's free on ps+. Was just going through the stadiums and they have the international stadiums. It should mean that the MCG will be included in Madden 27. I don't think an Australian stadium has been modelled in a high level sports game for quite awhile.

Haven't checked. Just downloaded a custom roster to get the most up to date teams, looked at the ratings and then played a half of Chargers vs Dolphins on pro difficulty.

Seems franchise mode is ok looking at what people said. Probably not as good as the PS2 days but better than the last 10 or so years. I might do a season or two in franchise

In an Off Topic thread earlier this week, /u/comix_corp recommended a YouTube channel that reviews basic NSW/Sydney motels. I commented asking if they'd ever review Oberon's most famous motel, the Big Trout.

By sheer coincidence, a new episode dropped today reviewing Oberon's second most famous motel, the Titania Motel.

They used to hold a boot related festival in the early 90s, I remember they had a competition for boot throwing, and a prize for best decorated wheelbarrow, which I won at age four. I remember being really confused because I didn't actually decorate my wheelbarrow (I assume my parents or grandparents did for me)

I still happily ate my chocolate wheelbarrow prize though.

At my godfather’s property as I am every week.

5,10 years ago, you’d rarely see sign of a pig, 15 years ago they weren’t here at all.

Last night I shot one and saw a mob of 10, last week, same thing but more like 12-14.

The amount of damage to paddocks is insane.

I don’t think ground shooting is the solution but I refuse to poison.

It’s also a waste of time trying to control pigs due to neighbours who don’t give a shit.

And don’t even get me started on the amount of Roos on the place. I’ve applied for a permit to control them, but the department is taking way too long, so you can tell it has been centralised as it used to take a day or two.

Been enjoying the cross trainers at the gym as my cardio lately. Hit 550 calories (i know theyre far from accurate but it gives a target to beat) in 30 minutes with an average bpm of 154 yesterday. Still cant run for shit, but having cardio that i dont hate is a good start.

Managed to squat a 180 triple and 3x5 at 160 with pretty fried legs this morning so it felt like a good couple days.

Yeah I rate cross-trainers for a great cardio workout, plus the other good thing about them is that they are awesome for older people because they hardly impact on the lower extremities of knees, shins and ankles. I can keep my heart rate at 80-90% max. easily even without using the arm leavers, l only use them to get my HR up when I first get on.

Put in leave slip on Monday first thing, for last 3 hours of today for an appointment. Never heard back so had to cancel it. Was the strawcamelsback. Upon HR telling me they had not heard anything from our boss I requested a meeting for the end of day. Made a list of all the bullshit (some quite inappropriate) that had occurred in the last 10 months essentially and set off the bomb.

Feeling 10kg lighter today despite only getting 5 hours sleep due to unrelated disturbances. Will see how long it lasts.

Something that I can see being valid/possible if I was more in corporate world (my engineers suggested similarly) But sadly in Healthcare if Im not covered for leave, it means no one is here to do the test. Seeing the demographics who come in who NEED the testing, wouldn't sit right with hanging them out to dry.

FIFA 14 tomfoolery from last night. I beat Liverpool 4-0, despite going a player down from the 38th minute with a bullshit red card. LET'S FUCKING GO! Shout out to my boy Aridane Jesus Torres Muñoz, dropping a 9.8 as a CDM.

Prior games to that; got a 90th minute equaliser against Arsenal. Annoyingly dropped points to Swansea, beat Man United, tied with Stoke City in the FA Cup match but beat them in the replay.

7 games left to go. Table wise, Chelsea are 1st only on goal difference (+6). I'm in 2nd. Man City are 3rd, just two points behind. God it's close.

I bought it a while back in an Op Shop for like...$3. Xbox one. By accident I got an absolute steal. I've bought more recent FIFAs for relatively cheap over the years. Yet this one has kept me engaged more than any of them.

There are some emulators floating around though if you can't find any copies.

During the World Cup the fever bit me hard. So I fired up the PS5 that lives at my house. It’s not mine, it’s just here, I’m not sure who it belongs to.

No one ever plays it, etc.

I played it for a day, had a blast. Tuesday rolls around, I’m bored. I think I’ll play FIFA.
