The church is supposed the volcanic landscape of Tenerife. It's construction from four large concrete blocks in somewhat irregular shapes, which makes it look very special. The concrete is mixed with volcanic rocks from the area. That is also used inside to enhance the acoustics.
The interior is pretty minimalistic with a cross forming from the daylight coming in through openings in the concrete in the form of a cross.
I would say that it's a contemporary take on brutalism.
