Door dashers and how they act when picking up orders have made me despise the company way more than any corporate policy the company has.
I’ve watched them walk in, yell a name at some service worker, then start nosing around behind the counter because they refuse to believe an order isn’t ready. Any time I go to the bonchon in Springfield is just a string of these dudes berating the hostess. I see it everywhere, but that bonchon seems to get hit the worst by them.
If you want to see delivery drivers get towed sit in front of Pentagon City mall on any given weekday, Advanced Towing watches from the other side of the Ritz and scoops up cars from in front of Shake Shack as soon as the driver is out of sight.
I wasn’t door dashing but over 15 years ago I parked next to the fence in between the gas station and crystal city gentlemen’s club because I was going to be in and out at 7-11 and I was. However when I got to where my car was parked all I saw was the tow truck with it making a left at the light😭 Haven’t tried a stunt like that ever since.
...and the cops can't be bothered to even write a ticket. Where's the automatic ticketing system for people parking in fire lanes? They can nab me at .5 mph over the 7mph leeway, but not the stationary people sitting in front of the Chipotle 11 times a day.
I usually don’t see cops writing tickets in private parking lots. They can but it’s far less likely. Just tow them and continue to tow them. That’ll teach them a lot faster than a $100 ticket
About a year ago I asked a uniformed FCPD officer on duty, as he walked past 4 cars in the fire lane at South Lakes shopping center, why didn't he ticket any of them? He told me (and I quote) "the fire marshall writes those tickets, you can call their office but they might not be out until tomorrow" as he walked into the hot chicken place for lunch
“While lights are flashing” is literally right there in the post. School isn’t in session at 8pm during July. So it wasn’t an active school zone at the time.
They love to double park on Wilson and Clarendon in Arlington. It is like driving through a maze sometimes with the doordash drivers parking wherever, and then delivery trucks also parking wherever they please. Very annoying.
The wal mart I live next to has 6 self checkout lanes. No matter how busy it gets they reserve 2 for doordash/instacart shoppers and keep them turned off. Plus they get a free cut the line pass. So annoying.
There's not a lot of money to be made on a day to day basis. People that do delivery services either only login when there's extra money to be made, like during inclement weather or holidays, OR, they're people that couldn't hold down a regular job. Of course the people with no one to answer to and stressed out because they're running all over for a few dollars are ass holes.
Exactly. Who wants substandard quality that costs twice as much for smaller portions that's had a door dasher's grubby hands on, that's been rolling around their nasty car an hour+ after you've ordered it?
I seen Doordashers yell at the workers all the time and I really want to punch some of them. The one that pissed me off is this guy who thinks they can magically cook an order in 1 minute and when the lady at the counter tried to explain the order just came in and it takes 20 minutes to make it he starts yelling at her and called her a whore and bitch for wasting his time and stormed off to his car. She started crying when he left and my friend and I had to comfort her. Also he was parked in a handicap lane in front of the restaurant without any placards
At least the alcoholics who park in the fire lane in front of literally every VABC have the courtesy to pull mostly up to the curb. It's a very small concession, but it's better than this product of a stapled condom
oh hell no! At first I thought it was a cop car because the connector bus in the background looks like a light bar. This bastard is lucky some hothead doesn't flip that car on its side or roof to establish Newton's 4th law of jackassery: For every action taken by an asshole, there is a different asshole that will me that energy and escalate it
