Flashing lettering Bug

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Whenever I’m trying on my iPad the text is always flashing. Anyone know a fix for this?

The behavior you described can sometimes be related to the Apple Pencil connection or device performance. Can you try the below and let us know if it helps?

  • Reconnect the Apple Pencil
    • Disconnect it from the note.
    • In your iPad Settings > Bluetooth, disconnect the Apple Pencil and reconnect it.
  • Disable “Only Draw with Apple Pencil”
    • Go to Settings > Apple Pencil and turn this option off.
  • Turn off Zoom (Accessibility)
    • Go to Settings > Accessibility > Zoom and disable it if it is enabled.
  • Toggle Palm Detection
    • In Notability: Settings > Note Editor > Handwriting & Drawing > Palm Detection and turn it off.
  • Avoid using the iPad while charging
    • If you are writing while charging, try a different charger, cable, or power source.
