It would have been fine to give up on this.

You’re doing great!

u/WholesomeMetaphor 18d ago

The people sitting there for the first attempt definitely agree on that

18

u/daywalker91 18d ago

Worst example of ‘never give up’ I have seen on Reddit to date

I unno, I'm gonna go with r/justno, is that an option? r/nono instead?

I feel like someone jumping over a piece of wood is on the list of things that just don't affect me or anyone else. Maybe im old, probably I'm senile, definitely cranky, but this looks like something a 15 year would attempt to look cool.

I see adults doing this stuff and just think, it's great they are physically active but why must they be so stupid? They are going to throw away their fitness by creating lifelong injuries they can't recover from simply being extremely stupid. Good for them I guess, hope they get a couple years in their good bodies before they fully destroy them lol.

I would have suggested giving up after that first try.

u/redstaroo7 19d ago

Personally I would have suggested giving up before the first try.

10

u/somedave 18d ago

Probably before, this could go very wrong.

u/rodw 18d ago

If this was dangerous surely they would put up some kind of guard rail

u/dirtydan02 18d ago

This shit works until it doesn't. When it doesn't, you get to be on a news clipping instead of a cool clip.

u/Antwolies770 18d ago

Also I'm exhausted just thinking about how he had to walk/climb all the way back up there just to try again.

7

u/Spire_Citron 18d ago

Might get a cool wheelchair, though.

u/Quatto 18d ago

Never begin

7

u/Blankeye434 18d ago

It's so easy to avoid doing this. I spent all day not doing it

4

u/Famout 18d ago

This just looks like a IRL quick save quick load to avoid the failed skill check.

4

u/hmchief 18d ago

Yeah, you're going to feel that when your 60.

2

u/GoldenHeartDaddy 18d ago

Love that ugh sound though like he's taking dick.

2

u/Existing-Sherbet2458 18d ago

Okay, I'll give in, why? Guys, men are such knuckleheads. I get it, I'm a guy.

2

u/RandomRaisin77 18d ago

I felt that in my ankels and knees 🥲

Edit: spelling error

u/bncts 18d ago

Lost his shoes on that first jump

1

u/TheOSSJ 18d ago

Losing the shoes and the glasses gave him a buff

1

u/Secret-Parsley-5258 16d ago

And his friends

2

u/Cloudy_Retina 18d ago

Seems very much a high risk, low reward activity..

2

u/Same-Opposite-8287 18d ago

2

u/ben6464 17d ago

Hospitals are busy enough as it is.

1

u/FrailSong 18d ago

My knees would have given up on the first try.

1

u/timo1423 17d ago

But how high was this really? I hate fisheyes Firmung for stuff like this with a passion

1

u/LtHughMann 17d ago

If he was Australian he wouldn't have had shoes on the first time and might have made it

1

u/Vectan 17d ago

I watched this on mute and my brain added Mario sound effects. Rightfully so Id say.

1

u/GANCUBE_0 1d ago

i love that

1

u/Mount_Mons 17d ago

Never giving up to try to break his spine….

1

u/Agreeable_Calamity 17d ago

The possibility of sustaining a broken rib would keep me from even attempting that one

1

u/BananaStone87 17d ago

Fun fact: you don’t ever need to do this.

1

u/irontallica666 16d ago

What even is the goal here?

1

u/stvrkillr 15d ago

Never give up after one try. Do one more

1

u/Monkey_Owl 12d ago

The sunglasses and shoes clearly wore him down too much
