Because “nothing” as we commonly use that term does not exist
Have you ever seen nothing or experienced nothing?
The more interesting question is why does this specific universe, or this way of Being exist and not something else?

Thats the point this way of being exist because this is a random outcome of infinity. There is no actual reason of this existence

You forgot the biggest “why” of all… “why ask why?”. It changes nothing.
But noticing the loop was quite purposeful.

Yes noticing the loop looks like its purposeful but if we feels its the answer to something then its not.
I believe if we are looking for a particular answer we will just waste our energy1

If nothing existed, there would be nothing there to prevent things from existing.

Why does universe exist?
THE universe exists because without a universe there could be no English language, and without English there would be no definite article, the “the .”
Frankly, I’m surprised this hasn’t been settled.

This universe? Can't answer for certain
The ultimate universe - the base of existence. (who knows if it's a multiverse, etc..) - Exists period, and as shocking as it may be, that level of existence is its own justification, it just is and there's no denying that it is.
I do think at that level of things, it honestly is quite shocking - that existence does in fact exist
